Seahawks seem to be clearing out the outspoken players, Eagles seem to support them instead. Got him for a 5th, thats a good deal.Ugh.. I hate this with a passion guys. Never mind the offsides, but there is a reason why the Hawks are kicking this tool to the curb. Why mess with the chemistry?
Good player for cheap maybe?
He is a distraction and really can screw up this locker room quickly. I'm sure the Eagles could have looked other options. And he has injury issues and 32yrs old. Let's not think for a second all of this is worth the potential trouble heading our way.
Overly dramatic much? They have Jenkins and Long in that locker room, both of whom are outspoken, you're acting like Bennett is some sort of legal case waiting to happen, he just talks.
It is a win/win deal. If he works out - great. And, if he is a problem, they can cut him next year, and save cap room. I think he only gets paid $1.6M this season.
base salary:
Michael Bennett
Do any of the other bonuses count towards the Eagles, or just the Hawks?
The Eagles would owe his roster and per game bonuses, so he'd have a cap hit of $6.65M
For this year, yes, but next year Bennett's cap number will be $7M and Curry's would have been $11.25M.So that plus the dead money from Curry makes him more expensive than Curry.
