Honestly, who really gives a fuck, if it IS in fact all political? Do business owners now not have the right to protect their businesses and product?

I wouldn't hire the fuck, knowing he'd be in the spotlight and his ideals attached to my company.

Backup QBs typically aren't asking for $8 - $11MM per year, either....

He's not a backup in the NFL. He's a starter. In this NFL, he's a starter. If Savage, McCown, Bortles, Cutler, Keenum and Hoyer are starters, Kaepernick is a starter.

Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March, before the draft. So rosters were NOT set.

Also, you got Cutler making $10M, Glennon making $8M, Tyrod Taylor making over $7M. Those QBs have literally done nothing for their teams. Kaepernick has playoff wins, he's an NFC champ, played in a super bowl. He showed he can still throw the ball last year with 16 TDs in 14 games. Only 4 INTs. One of the highest INT:TD ratios in the league. He can't carry a team though. He needs a good structure around him and the Niners 100% didn't have that the last 3 years he was there.

Kaep requires a system to be built around him.... not the other way around. He is not a plug-and-play type QB.

There was an article... not even bothering to look for it, but even that article said there were 3-5 teams TOPS where he MIGHT've been able to fit... but they were either set, or were going with development.

So again, that you claim it's 100% political, is bullshit.

I'm just saying, putting the blame on his on the field play is bullshit when you look at the talent pool of starting QBs right now.

Keenum ISN'T a fucking starter. He's on a $2MM contract as a backup. Fucking idiot.

That's my opinion, didn't claim it to be a fact.

His play is a factor tho. That much has pretty much been proven, in that, if he played like Aaron Rodgers, he'd be starting somewhere. Is it the ONLY factor? Not likely, and most here have stated as such.

ONLY because the starter was out for injury. What part of BACKUP are you not getting? Once Bradford is cleared to play, back to the bench for Keenum.

Tolzien? Backup QB on a $500k guaranteed... with potential of $3.5MM

Hoyer? ummm... the 49ers were moving on from Kaep.

McCown? Jets are tanking/rebuilding.... McCown is only making $6mm/year with a $9somethingish cap hit.

Take Kaeps' nutsack out of your mouth once in awhile, and breathe.

I say it's more of an easy "niceish" excuse.

Because there are much more, in your words, poopy quarterbacks that are starting for an NFL team right now that don't have the talent in their whole body that Kaepernick has in just his legs. Had he not made a scene last year, this would be a non-issue. It's all based on his off the field stuff. Much less talented QBs have starting jobs right now. Take the political stuff away from the conversation and tell me that, looking at the talent pool of QBs right now, that Kaepernick doesn't start for about 5-6 teams right now.

Teams he could start for, and teams he could win with are two different conversations. Once he starts to lose a few games he's right back to where he started. The unemployment line.

Bullshit. When Bridgewater went down last year and the Vikings options were limited, PRIOR TO his ill-advised stance on the sideline, I was anit-Kaep. I didn't want him then, nor did any of the other teams.... when it was known he was available for a trade.

It's 100% political that he's completely out of the league. Losing his starting job or being out of SF is completely understandable, even without the politics as he has never really learned to read defenses well.

However, even on a terrible team he was still 13th in TD% and 4th best in INT% last year. His overall completion % was poor (26th), but still ahead of guys that still have a job like Bortles, Newton, Fitzpatrick, and Osweiler, and just behind Siemian, Rivers, and Winston. He had a terrible group of receivers to work with. He easily outperformed Gabbert, who has a job. 4th leading QB rusher behind Tyrod, Newton, and Wilson in total, but outgained them in yards/rush at 6.8.

Clearly political.

Talent level douchebag. Talent level. Kaepernick is much better than either of those QBs so of course he should get paid more than those guys. No reason other than his political stance last year why Ryan Nassib, Kellen Clemens, Thad Lewis, Keith Wenning, an Arena league QB, Josh Johnson, EJ Manuel, Geno Smith and all these other ill-performing, underachieving QBs have a backup job and not Kaepernick. Also, no reason other than his political stance last year why Josh McCown, Tom Savage, Blake Bortles, Tyrod Taylor, Mike Glennon and Jay Cutler have starting jobs and Kaepernick doesn't. He's young, he was still on his rookie contract when he left San Francisco. He's played in a Super Bowl, 2 NFC title games. he's 4-2 in the playoffs. He had one of the lowest TD:INT ratios in the NFL last year. He had a shit team the last two years and two shit HCs who had no business being an NFL coach. He's a dual threat just like Cam Newton. Difference is that Cam has a bigger body and had a better team surrounding him on both sides of the ball. You can't expect Kaep to carry a team though. That's a big downfall. He needs to have established pieces around him to be good.

He'd win day 1 in Jacksonville and Houston, in my opinion. But Jacksonville is probably looking towards the draft for a QB and Houston has Watson so those options are out.

And we know what you think too. You balls are in as deep.
Uh huh, I think that his politics, his play and his value of himself all factor in to him not being signed YET.

You think it's a league-wide racist conspiracy.

Ya, we're exactly the same, just on opposing sides en sech.
