Yes, I remember hearing "we want football players, guys who love football", it's looking like we drafted a couple who doesn't
It's almost like the draft is a crapshoot

For as much as I want to agree with this ^^^^^the other side of the coin unfortunately will be, no football beyond the 2020 season.
Fellas, This all falls directly on Bruce Allen and here's why:
1. You don't blame the player for being drafted.
2. Even if Bruce followed SM's board to a tee, unless he's a mindless twit, and that's debatable, he still had to make the decision to do it when the time came.
3. A pure speculative statement follows: True GM's always talk to their guys, listening to concerns, gauging progress towards recovery, doing logistical work in terms of family ticketing etc....etc...etc. So this should NOT have been a surprise to the organization, especially at cut down and setting up PS time. I'm not saying that Bruce didn't do his GM work (again pure speculation on my part) but the timing suggests that his attention was elsewhere. (Maybe more concerns with team President duties??)
I do not know why a lot of you guys put the blame solely on Allen. The FO (Allen and Snyder) got upset with Scot last year at the end of the season when we heard Cravens had some sort of tear, then it was a bruise. He wasn't around so that nullifies point No. 3 there. I am not supporting Allen but I am for assigning blame when it is deserved. I don't see why a guy who has lost 4 jobs is being crowned king.

I'll go with your I am only speculating but not ignoring what your opening line was.
My point remains, we can all agree to some extent about Dan/Bruce. At the same time I see statements like yours or how Bruce screwed up the Cousin's contract when Scot was part of the screw up too. You want to bash Allen, have at it but it is time to stop saying Scot was GM of the year.
ONLY Bruce Allen apologists are saying anything close to SM was GM of the year........see what I did there?
BTW: which part of what I said wasn't true, beyond the speculative piece? Keep in mind we're solely talking about Cravens the original topic.
Really? you are sorely mistaken if you think money buys you happiness. In a video on Snapchat, Redskins S Su'a Cravens said he decided to leave the team because he needs "to follow what makes me happy."
"I don’t feel like I need to explain myself. I don’t feel like I have to," Cravens said. "I need to follow what makes me happy, get my mental right, my well-being right, my family right." The comments do not necessarily mean he is done with football for good, but he certainly sounds done with it for now. Cravens was placed on the exempt/left squad list over the weekend.

NOt happy making millions. what an ass.

The reality is the guy has some issues. May be mental, emotional or physical. Probably a combination of all 3. My bet is he is not done. Especially when he realizes that if he quits, he owes the team back $1M in signing money. He probably doesn't have it. He also probably still owes his agent a big chunk. He probably can't afford to quit right now.

Do they have to pay back the signing bonus?

Maybe Cravens simply doesn't want to be a Washington Redskin.
