Sounds like the Hawks are going to get their guy... Report: Seahawks get their pass rusher, will sign Ziggy Ansah
I hadn't heard that. Are you sure it's regular season and not pre?Looks like he will not play the first 3-4 weeks of season...

This sounds promising. Health is the question for this guy. Incentives will help motivate him to stay on the field, but no way to know tell the season rolls around and play begins.
Got to love the way Pete and JS find a way to build a roster.

Hope it is the pre-season, that would be a blow to what is looking like a solid defensive line.
Possibly out the first 3 or 4 weeks to start the regular season.
Yah... we really need to beat the Bengals and the Cards should be fairly easy given their rebuild mode (just make sure to give Murray some shit cleats). If we can get past week 4 at 2-2 (Saints/Rams I feel are going to march all over us, fortunately one is a home game) and get Ansah back along with hopefully some development of Collier I think we're in a decent position.
If that Rams game is home, I think Seattle can beat them. Gurly has bad knees and the staff has video of NE defensive attack on Goff and slowing him down. If not 2-2 is still a good start.
Sing it! The Seahawks can bring them down!

I heard that report as well, but the word from the Seahawks is that they expect him to be ready by the regular season for what it's worth.
Since it's just a 1 year deal, if he's able to even give us 8-10 productive games, I'm a fan of the move.
Does anyone have a link to a report saying he's likely to miss the first month of the regular season? Everything I've seen/heard said mid to late Aug. There was just a panel on NFLN a few days ago right after we signed him, and they all said the same thing -- that he was projected to be ready to play for the real games.
