I had Stanford in, then thought better of it and bumped him in favor of Travis Lewis.

Agree. I've been impressed with Moore. His arm may not be the strongest, but he's full of poise, knows where he wants to go with the ball, and throws with accuracy more often than not. He seems to have a good grasp of the offense. He's clearly looked better than Orlovsky over the preseason. I'm not sure why Orlovsky would be the pick, other than the fact that he has history with Caldwell.

I can see Moore on PS one more year and then DanO gone and Moore in. Then if needed you have all 3 guys available.

I'm not sure Moore would survive the practice squad. Lots of teams hurting with QB depth.

Moore is trash. His passes float way too much. As much as Dan O is trash, Moore would do worse against a starting squad.

I thought Durham had a spot, but he had some bad drops this past game.

Moore > Dan O. At least he is poised in the pocket and accurate with his passes. Dan O has absolutely nothing to give on the field. He is good with a clipboard is the most you can say about him.

Whelp, George Winn was cut, so there's my first official miss.

I really hope he makes it to the practice squad. There's a lot of RB depth in the NFL, so hopefully nobody decides they need to grab him.

I would also think this means we're keeping Owens as a HB/FB hybrid, unless we sign another guy from somewhere else...

LeShoure got the boot as I expected since the end of last year. My only question is did the Lons ever have a chance to trade and get something for him?

Stephen Hill was cut by the Jets and I know he was awful the last couple of seasons but my god how could any receiver excel with Sanchez/Tebow/Geno? If he has any skills he would be my recycle player to pickup.

I didn't realize that Van Noy can't be placed on the short-term IR until Tuesday, so that's one roster spot that will change in a few days.

Looks like Rodney Austin and Chris Greenwood got cut as well, so there's two more I whiffed on.

I am surprised we are keeping 2 FBs, but Montel Owens can play both so it kind of makes sense. Still Winn played well. I would be surprised if no one picks him up.

The Winn cut is surprising. He could be a good PS candidate as he might not have shown enough to have gotten on an active roster.

Remember if you can catch a flair or screen pass, you will play for a Lombardi running a Payton style offense.

Owens offers the ST factor also. Not unlike years of Wendling taking a roster spot to be a useless S and only a gunner. Owens will see the field I am sure as will Collins a lot.

Well I was completely wrong about keeping 2 QBs. I think that great play by our S depth pushed Greenwood out of a spot. We have 2 safeties that can play slot corner, so keeping an extra safety and jettison a practice squad candidate CB makes sense.

I'm a bit surprised that Don Carey made the final cut. He didn't play well this preseason.

Also surprised that Rodney Austin and Chris Greenwood got cut, just based on the numbers. Don't be shocked if we add a CB and an interior lineman over the next couple of days.
