I think this is Rorys year.....He goes from 1st team mascot duties to the 53 man roster....He's paid his dues and did everything the staff has asked of him....I think he will be a situational player on ST and some dime packages for the defense.

I'm pretty sure Kellen Moore is still practice squad eligible, hey?

True, but with the hit on Jammal Charles out of bounds. Rory seems more a Schwartz no discipline guy. Not a Caldwell guy.

What was his vertical at the combine? He may block kicks...

I don't know his vertical at the combine, but I watched Rory chase down the cheetah that beat Chris Johnson in a race.....That alone should put him on the 53 man roster.

Looking at the snap counts the last two weeks it appears OLB Julian Stanford has played himself onto the roster bubble. He's supposed to be a good special-teamer, which is why he was brought in last year in the first place. Definitely another name to keep an eye on. If we keep 6 LBs, he would appear to be the 6th one as of right now...

Looks like LB Travis Lewis on the way out if Stanford is in. Lewis led Oklahoma from his frosh thru senior years in total tackles. I thought he had potential as a MLB, too slow, instincts, for NFL OLB/DE. I would like to see OLB Brandon Hepburn (2013 7th rd draftee, Fla A+M) get another year on the practice squad but haven't read much about him. Kid is highly intelligent on/off field and supremely athletic.

Travis Lewis is my defensive Durham. Would not mind to see him go. His NCAA days have really not translated over to being a pro. I do believe his chances are worse than Durham's of being a Lion this year.

1 out of 2 ain't bad.

gotta agree with ya there 100%.. another late round pick that hasn't developed, yet. maybe somewhere else he could. I believe he's suspended for the 1st 4 games, if he sticks somewhere.

Roarys vertical is well over 10 feet. Of course they let him use that little trampoline which won't be allowed in games so its probably not a true indication of his ability.

For blocking kicks it would work. The rule states you can't use a team mate for a advantage. Nothing is stated about a mini-tramp.

I think Durham and Leshoure both make it. With the Wr's, I'm considering multiple looks and situational packages. I think it will be : Calvin, Tate, Broyles, Durham, Fuller and Ross. This is very ideal. Tate, Broyles and Ross make for a damn good slot crew, while Durham, Fuller and Calvin are great outside targets. Durham is a red-zone threat and can temporarily relieve CJ at times. Fuller is like the "next man up", who has a small role but will continue to develop. Tate and Broyles are interchangeable, inside and out. Both Ebron and Fuaria can play the slot at times also. No need for Ogletree.

Leshoure will stay because he will only see and handful of touches anyway and they'll take what they can get out of him.

I am going to move Webster to the PS and add an OLB from Waivers. Probably bump Maxwell from the PS.

I expect we will waive one of the CBs and keep Gomes as a fifth safety. I just don't know which one yet. Maybe Florence.

Florence got the ax. 1 point for Old Lion.

I would like to keep Webster on the active roster, but we might have to get rid of a FB.
