He is on a one yr deal at 19.8 mil
No hating taken lol. And i agree Raiders would be silly to let him goIm not hating on Cali, but if im raiders brass, the last thing I'm doing is trading Carr, he's cheap on the cap, had an amazing start to the season, and was a true leader despite tragedy and distraction. I can't believe im gonna say this, but Mayock sucks at his job, at least in the draft. The raiders should be waaaay better than they are. Trading carr for payne and a 1st would be illogical
Really? Well that seems like a reasonable cost for a QB that would elevate this team to meHe is on a one yr deal at 19.8 mil
Agreed, I wouldn't do that either but I will take Mariota for Payne.Im not hating on Cali, but if im raiders brass, the last thing I'm doing is trading Carr, he's cheap on the cap, had an amazing start to the season, and was a true leader despite tragedy and distraction. He would not accept a trade on a 1 yr deal, it would have to be restructured to a LTD.Really? Well that seems like a reasonable cost for a QB that would elevate this team to me
That's an interesting one.Agreed, I wouldn't do that either but I will take Mariota for Payne.
Of course. But around 20 mil per year seems reasonable in today's QB market for a talented young guyHe would not accept a trade on a 1 yr deal, it would have to be restructured to a LTD.

Yes, $20M in today's market is a steal imo.Of course. But around 20 mil per year seems reasonable in today's QB market for a talented young guy
If you go that route of taking Mariota or Trubisky as a bridge QB you will be looking at another losing season and that's a fact not opinionAgreed, I wouldn't do that either but I will take Mariota for Payne.
One year deal is the factorReally? Well that seems like a reasonable cost for a QB that would elevate this team to me
Well considering we finished 7-10 this season (tough schedule) with no real starter, injured beyond recognition, Covid, deaths and misfortune, I bet we finish .500 or better with a more reasonable schedule with Trubisky or Mariota. Just my opinion, not fact.If you go that route of taking Mariota or Trubisky as a bridge QB you will be looking at another losing season and that's a fact not opinion
id take him for longer and draft a rookie later roundsOne year deal is the factor
Exactly. Draft your QB where ever you deem necessary in up coming draft and let him sit behind Mariota. We all know Mariota is multi-functional (good arm and great legs) as he showed at Oregon. Dads guy Turner should be able to devise a great game plan with those tools. Are you thinking qb bridge and avoiding having to pay Payne?

I really don't see Rivera going for a bridge QB if he doesn't think he will get the QB he wants in the Draft when his job is probably on the line
Barely though and 2 seasons in he hasn't been above 500i really don't see how Rivera's job is on the line. He won the division in the midst of a sexual assault case, name change, covid outbreak, cancer, etc.
What legit seasoned coach would come here, if thats how you treat a guy that took all the heat off the owner?
Fitz and TH are bridges that got burned, but unless one of these rookies really impresses and test well, another vet will start
That is not so unbelievable. In the 23 years that Snyder has owned the team they have had six winning records. The only time they had back to back winning seasons was Cousin's first two years as a starter.Barely though and 2 seasons in he hasn't been above 500
