OK, so I if I make a point that may be somewhat valid but then present ridiculous and inaccurate arguments in defense of it everyone should just give me a pass on the content of those arguments. Got it now.

If you want to take a quote completely out of context and distort it beyond the clear intention to quibble over a point that was never meant then go for it. I was just pointing out you're quibbling over something that wasn't actually meant.

But, hey, now is your chance. For all the bandwidth that's been wasted over this, I don't think either you or Stan have even gotten to the point of offering an alternative for "pretty average". Stan has pointed out he has an OBP 24 points higher than AL average but about 100 points lower than the AL leader, which he would "hardly call that being 'pretty average' at getting on base" and I believe that's as far as we've gotten.
