I think it should really be noted how bad the other "paper Champs" LAA has been playing too...

-

Angels, Rays, Dodgers

all teams expected to win their divisions and be WS contenders

and they all suck

you see how this works everybody.. had morrow pitched a horrific game. this would be about morrow. but since he didn't it's "the jays salvaged a game in the series". :lame:

nothing about the mariners coming in hot. nothing about pettite getting bombed his last two starts. nothing about the yankees losing a series to the A's.:clap:

It wouldn't just be about Morrow.... it would be about the collective futility of the Jays. Which is exceptionally so

Are you actually making excuses for losing a series at home to the Mariners?

The A's are a good team. Granted Yankees should've won that series, but it's not exactly the height of embarrassment that they didn't

The Jays have 1 series win all year I believe. 1

Which, folks, is why we've gone from "Jays win 96 games and the AL East" to "Vernon Wells is hitting under .300. BWAHAHAHAHHAHA"

Both Rock and Snoogins have already posted today. Are you really at the point in your life where you are now keeping track of the frequency of posts by Sox fans? Don't you have some loose change to count?

Guys who post pictures of dogs that look like furry cocks really shouldn't comment on how others spend their time.

sullinger was the only real quality guy they drafted, and hes a reach...could have gone 2nd round

his back issue? yeah, he had that at OSU...lets hope its not chronic

terry replaced allen, and that was a lateral move at best...turns out it was less than that

they had no size depth...i said that once already...no one effective to spell KG.

Yes, they were a small team. Green, Sullinger and Wilcox were meant to be the backup bigs to Garnett and Bass... Like many other teams in the NBA, they went small.

That's the team they wanted to go with. They had Rondo, Lee, Terry, Bradley and Barbosa in the back-court and still tried to grab Ray Allen.

They made a tactical decision to go small.

They had tremendous depth. Tremendous...

lol. who said they won't be playing better by the time the yankees get those players back. pettite is starting to regress already. CC isn't CC and the regression of those players you have been humping has started to show. keep thinking the jays are gonna hit .220 as a team.

1) Pettitte's start yesterday would be what is considered "above average" in Blue Jays circles. If that's the regressed version, you guys aren't going to come close

2) CC's numbers are more or less in line with what he normally does. Get back to me when it isn't

3) The Jays won't hit .220 all season. They might get it up to .240-.250. That's still good for a last place finish in the East

don't forget the blue jays too.

dodgers will get greinke back
angels won't be this horrible they will make a run
the rays i worry about especially offensively challenged most years. and now price is having a tough time. (i do think he will turn it around)
blue jays won't continue to hit or pitch this horrible. and as soon as they get some consistent games on both sides of the ball they will go on a run

Upper level, cornered on the same side that Spike Lee was on. Row 1.. $115 at Ace Ticket.

Pregamed in Cambridge for beers, took the subway to Causeway st, grabbed a slice of pizza then hit Hurricane O'Reilly's for a scotch.

Post-gamed at Brownstone in Back Bay...

One of the loudest non-football crowds I've ever been in.

Anything else you wanna know, Peter?

agreed on it becoming that much more difficult. and i also agree that they dug themselves a hole early. but the one thing i got hope for is that they have so many head to head games with the division. and altho they are struggling big time i do think they will start to become the players they have been and that will translate to more wins. luckily its may and not june or july when they are playing this horrible. but there is less margin for error i do admit that

AGAIN!
The players that they have been?

WHo?! WHo exactly is not exactly what you should have expected?
Johnson?
Burhele?
Melky?
Lawrie?
Bautista?

They are all low OB% guys that strike out a ton and hit HR's. - Except non Steroid Melky, he is just not a MLB player and should be wearing a mask every time he cashes a pay check

So, we can all universally agree that Down is a pussy...

and if RSG has me blocked, then he is thinner skinned than I credited him for.

Yet you felt the need to bring it up.

Yes, Peter. There are people in the world who earn a good living and manage their money like an adult... They can elect to attend professional sporting events without missing a mortgage payment.

It's a combination of responsible adulthood and die hard sports fanaticism.
