Both Kuzma and Ingram COULD be superstars.

It took Leonard four years to reach the level Kuzma and Ingram did in one and two years respectively

They both COULD be superstars but they most likely WON'T be superstars.

Fans overrate the players on their team.

Obviously any trade for Leonard would be predicated on there being no long term injury risk. But most reports suggest that Leonard has been healthy but doesn't want to play for whatever reason.

If Leonard is legitimately injured then the Spurs aren't trading him. If they want to trade him then that means he chose to sit out for personal reasons.

Does not surprise me. You are never able to objectively value Laker players.

When playing fantasy sports, a common mistake owners make is they tend to value their own players at about 125% what they are actually worth and everybody else's at about 80%. Hence, they offer ridiculously unbalanced and unrealistic trades.

That explains @Shaqdaddy11 to a tee.

Kuzma and Ingram are very good. They are not on a superstar track though. But we are talking about a 26 year old superstar on a $20 million contract for next year. Not to mention, Kawhi Is an LA guy should be easy to resign.

And would you have said Kawhi was on superstar track after one or two years? Bullshit!

OMG.

Cmon. Ingram maybe. It is stretch though. Kuzma no way in hell he is a future superstar.

Yeah kinda just laughed through the "Kuzma could be a super star" comment.

No I would not.

His case is extremely rare. And if you are not trading Ingram for an established superstar because he MIGHT be a superstar, then you are being extremely foolish. Because the most likely case is that he will merely be a good player.

And superstars are worth exponentially more than very good players. Because superstars win championships.

This is great if the Lakers aren’t willing to trade even Ingram and Kuzma for Leonard. Maybe the market is soft. 76ers still have assets. Maybe they can steal him.

But basically what you are saying is that you wouldn't trade Ingram and Kuzma because there is a 5% chance Ingram will be as good as Leonard someday. And a .001 chance Kuzma might.

Good luck with those odds!

But that isn't how probability works.

Kawhi Leonard was an unlikely superstar. Players drafted outside of the lottery who become superstars are almost unheard of.

So to point Leonard as evidence that Kuzma might become a super star is likely saying that because someone else won the lottery that means you could win the lottery with your lottery ticket. Technically that is true, but your odds are really low.

If the Lakers won’t do this deal, then the 76ers should offer T.J. McConnell, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Furkan Korkmaz, and the LAL 2018 pick to the Spurs for Kawhi Leonard. The market is soft. Get it done, BC.

The Spurs are going to ask for Simmons. No way the Sixers will agree to that but if they want Leonard you are likely talking Fultz, Saric and the Lakers pick.

Saric, Fultz and Lakers pick is a better package than Kuzma and Ingram without Deng.

That probably does not get it done either.

LOL. Yes, the Sixers should definitely make this trade. Heck we can throw in Jonah Bolden as well.

Yeah that probably wouldn't be enough either. But at least in the zip code.

I’ve already laid out my offer. Maybe I throw in Anzejs Pasecniks or Jonah Bolden. But I can’t do both of those guys. After all, LA isn’t offering them anything better.

I love all the players mentioned but I’d trade Saric, Fultz, and the LAL pick for Kawhi. I don’t think the Spurs would do it, but maybe they see Fultz as a future star.

Simmons is untouchable. You don’t trade him unless he demands a trade, and even then, I’d fire the entire front office and coaching staff before trading him.

If Fultz really elevated his game in the playoffs, maybe they would do that. But that isn't likely to happen.

Aside from guys with no trade clauses, Simmons might be the most untradeable player in the league today given his abilities, age, contract and future years of team control.

Simmons is untouchable for a number of reasons, not all of which are strictly basketball related.

He and Embiid are the result of The Process. Giving up on either of them would tell the fans that it was all a big joke.
