I'm not gonna bother with Texas until they get out of this funk. Watching terrible baseball puts me in a bad mood. I know they are capable of much more than this garbage they've been throwing out there lately.
This funk is beyond comprehension. I figured when they came back down to earth they would be playing at the minimum .500 ball.

Prince Mitch and Choo are killing us on offense. Not that Choo can't produce but he can't stay in the lineup long enough due to health. That plus the rotation has made it hard to maintain the quality of play we were seeing. It's anyone's guess as to what will be done to remedy the problems but it better happen quickly.

Oh my! Taking away the DH is the discussion of the day. IMO leave it alone and add it to the NL. Buzz supports eliminateing it.

All very true, but I'd also add in that Mazara going through the typical rookie slump has hurt them big time too. For the first month he was up, he was tearing the cover off the ball and it gave them a legitimate heart of the order with Desmond and Beltre. But now pitchers have figured him out a little and he is nowhere near the hitter he was a month ago. But he will find his way again. All good rookie hitters go through this.

Lastly, I think not having Profar in there really hurts. All he does is hit when given the chance. I thought he was outstanding as a leadoff hitter in Choo's absence. I like him there better than Odor. As soon as they leave Chicago and get back to an AL park, I'd have Profar leading off and DH'ing.

What do I keep saying about our plate discipline when it is a full count.

At least the team is better at getting runs home from third base with less than 2 outs ( as long as Fielder is not hitting) they used to ALWAYs fail to get that run in and it drove me crazy.
