Wow. Cole picked a bad time to lose his first start since May.
That's a shame.
That's a shame.
20 years since a road team won first 2 on the road.....
1st team to win 5 straight playoff games on the road....Have had absolutely no luck in handicapping these playoffs, other than Yanks-Twins. Washington just keeps doing the unthinkable.
Just like the Cuckcocks own the Clemson Tigers??
Nationals in six. NL East!
That’s what I love to see. When a team comes in and just get everyone by surpriseHave had absolutely no luck in handicapping these playoffs, other than Yanks-Twins. Washington just keeps doing the unthinkable.
I agree it seems these playoffs we have been talking about home field advantage going to the under dog in each series. And your right if any team need to bounce back I think the stros can. Plus they got Verlander on the mound tonight and he’s a beastCrazy to think that Game 2 might be a must win for the Astros. Their home field invincibility really hasn't been there in the playoffs and they lost with the best pitcher in baseball.
If there is a team that can bounceback, though, its them.

"If they win tonight it's all over" - tabascojet circa 1996
Wasn't just the HRs. He got tagged for singles and doubles too.I don't think he was quite otherworldly against the Yanks either (5 walks and 4 hits in 7), though it's hard to complain about 0 runs allowed against the Yankees lineup.
Cole had a phenomenal season, but he is HR prone as evident by tonight.

Braves are chokers, Nats are valiant or something
i believe the lf even could have made that play easier....Rooting for the Astros, but I enjoy seeing that dumbass ballpark design backfiring on them.
Soto's 2-run double in the 5th is probably caught in 28 other ballparks.
