Or they could trade Duran and let Wendzel stay. They have a lot of options. Just wait until Guitterez and Vargas are closer.
Just hope that FO makes the right decisions in the near future. Lots of talent to evaluate and if all goes as expected, strong team outlook for quite some time.

Shane Greene has looked good in limited opportunities so far.

We have to be careful because we have a habit that someone coming up from the minors we elevate above the one who has been doing it in the majors. I am not saying you are doing that but we all do it including me. Grass is always greener on the other side.

Yeah, i wasn't advocating for anyone one way or another. My emphasis was mainly on how many options we have. I wish we had room for them all.

At the end of 2023 I thought Kelly was closer than Church. This may mean they are both going to be big contributors in 2024.

I really believe the bullpen is going to be much better this season.
Obviously it worked out for us in the playoffs and W.S.. Must say I like what I have seen so far from the bullpen.

Agree. Because some are blocked at the MLB level because of the bottleneck we will have to use them as trade bait.

Reading Bochy I see
1. He loves Langford
2. Carter can and may play a lot of positions including CF.
3. He likes Crim and Foscue but no guarantee they make team. However they are both getting time at 1B and if Crim can play good defense he may have a future there

Hard to hear the questions re pitchers but I think White is a guy they are looking for as first guy up as a SP in case of injury

Would not be surprised if Corey is ready on OD

From Jeff Wilson:

Three amigos

No one should be surprised that Foscue, Wendzel and Crim are doing damage this spring. All three can hit, and they would have a much clearer path to the majors were they not with the Rangers.

Each is an infielder by trade. Foscue and Crim are playing the same position, first base, while Wendzel plays the other three infield spots. He plays them really well, too.

Foscue, the 2020 first-round pick, is on the 40-man roster after Wendzel and Crim were left unprotected from the Rule 5 draft the past two years.

Teams might want to see if Wendzel can stay healthy for another season and replicate the power breakthrough he had last season with 30 homers. Crim has been a hit machine since the Rangers drafted him in the 19th round of the 2019 draft, the same draft they took Jung (eighth overall) and Wendzel (41st overall).

A lot of folks who follow the Rangers’ farm system want to see all three get a crack at the majors this season.
