Unfortunately, that $50 can of tuna drags even the cheapest price of tuna up as well. All of a sudden, the cheapest can is $15, and the good stuff is $30.

Rosenthal wrote a column whining about the lack of baseball trades and signings during the Winter Meetings. He proposed deadlines so more buzz could be created in a short time period. Other writers are retweeting the article and going on about how spot on the article is.
This, to me, is an example of the media being out of touch. As a fan, I do not want any deadlines in the offseason.

Manager Bruce Bochy said that the Rangers continue to shop for a starting pitcher, and they are thought to be the favorites to land left-hander Jordan Montgomery. They aren’t done shopping for bullpen help, either.
General manager Chris Young reiterated that the Rangers will be adding more relief arms. He doesn’t expect anything to happen by the time he leaves Thursday morning, but it only takes one phone call or one really, really big decision for the dam to break.

Baseball America thinks our own Justin Slaten is the most likely player to be picked in the Rule 5 draft. Not just most likely Ranger, but most likely in the draft.
