This guy is responsible for more innovations in F1 cars than just about anyone else. Traction control, self-leveling suspensions, changeable aerodynamics, flappy paddle gearboxes, etc. Had they been allowed to use everything they wanted to us, their cars were FIVE SECONDS a lap faster than everyone else's. In a sport where half a second currently separates 1st from 8th.

The fact that the bulk of his success as a team owner came after his accident which left him a quadraplegic should tell you all you need to know about the man's determination and drive.

Truly the end of an era. RIP Sir Frank.

Race comms seems to suggest the race director told Merc he was gonna let him pass and they didn’t pass the message to Lewis in time.

Question now is do they let Lewis pass or are they hoping Lewis gets penalized for the hit?

It was definitely strategy by max but if Lewis knew that the order had come through in time he wouldn’t have played right into it.
