Frankly the teams could open up the ST site early. Sandoval was working out at the Sox ST early.

Let these guys come in early to start getting into shape.

Also we've seen more injuries without the WBC, than actual pitcher injuries during the WBC...just saying.

i could be wrong but over the first 3 wbc's pitchers who pitch in the wbc seem to have awful seasons

Meh. The fact is, he's locked into a contract anyway, so no real harm done, but getting injured playing in this crap for a guy who needs a contract would be stupid.
