Like the IIHF I would love to see an "International Baseball Federation" if you will that holds the real world championships once a year. In hockey you cannot call yourselves world champions if you've won the Stanley Cup. That honor is reserved for the country that wins all the marbles at the Worlds every year. Yes the Stanley Cup, like the Series trophy is the top award in their respective sport but it's completely different from representing your country in a true world championship. Just my humble opinion.
