Not me...could smell the shit show a mile away...in a market without the media saturation of a Boston or NY? He could be successful, but he'd never want that job, because promoting the Bobby V brand is priority #1...

I thought he would kick the asses of the asses that needed it

he picked Youk

disaster from the beginning, total mea culpa on my part

Right.

Psst. Obscurity has a better record than the Red Sox.

:yahoo:

Relevance?

They also have a better record for the Yankees...

You think pitching in Pitt is like pitching in Boston? Or NY?

I don't...and basd on his track record? Neither does Melancon

Note to celebrities throwing out first pitches at ball games. Take 20 minutes and PRACTICE throwing. Sure you still might not make it to the catcher but you can avoid doing this:

The relevance is he's been outstanding pitching for a team that's been in 1st place for most of the season.

The "track record" you're quoting is 20 innings in NY, 45 in Boston.

David Robertson had an ERA close to 5 after that many innings. Glad the Yanks didn't give up on him as fast as they did Melancon. Both teams made the same mistake.

Bobby V "ass kicking MLB manager"

Something that has never existed. Nothing has ever been over-jetered more than Bobby V's image as a bad assed manager..the entire reputation was built on his relationship with Todd Hundley...

It never really existed...a smart baseball guy? Absolutely...but his priorities were entrenching himself in the boston vs. NY mystique at all costs..again, Bobby's onyl motivation was advancing the image of Bobby...

And I for one, am ecstatic that no one today looks as bad as he does...

I was in your camp before witnessing it myself last year with him in Boston...something about the big stage, and a huge crowd right on top of you, makes that guy melt on a mound...

he's also in a middle relief role in Pitt...don't discount that as well...

Jeff Suppan and Damaso Marte also looked great pitching there.

Marte's best years were with the White Sox no?

His 1st 2 years? Yes...then he became largely mediocre, and had a career resurgence in Pitt...Yanks traded for him? And he turned into a batting practice pitcher over night...

I like it when hot chicks wear cowboy hats

Is that your wife Ox?

Yeah, she became more of a gym rat the past 8-9 months. She keeps charts of everything, we bought tehse scales that keep track of everything from weight, BMI etc...she lost 15 lbs. Now the clothes are getting skimpier and skimpier, which is OK by me. I never go shopping with here too. It was an adventure when I did. She actually part nerd, a computer geek/wiz.

"It wouldn't surprise me if this convincted criminal opened fire on an elementary school"

An offseason arrest prior to a historical 2012 season for Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel officially saw its conclusion on Monday morning.

The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback pleaded guilty to a charge that he failed to identify himself to police and saw the remaining charges against him dismissed during a hearing stemming from his arrest last June.

The Bryan College-Station Eagle first reported the story.

According to court records, Manziel is to pay a $2,000 fine and $232 in court costs and spend two days in jail for pleading guilty to the class B misdemeanor, but according to The Eagle, Manziel won't serve any jail time because the judge considered Manziel's time behind bars immediately following the arrest as time served.
