And once he's accelerated and got his full stride going, he's gonna be tough to catch. He's probably a little slower in the first 10-20 yards than most guys who can run 4.4-4.5 in the 40.

Kaep is like the Usain Bolt of QBs. Once he gets that long stride going after 20 yards, in the open field, watch out! :-)

Smart answer on Baalke's part, which is no surprise given how well he does his job. Keep all options open and don't give up any useful intel before the draft to keep other teams guessing on who we are considering. Can't wait for next week!

Woodson still on 49ers' radar?
April, 18, 2013 10:20AM ET
By Tim Kavanagh | ESPN.com

After being released by the Green Bay Packers earlier this offseason, veteran CB/S Charles Woodson generated an initial surge of discussion and interest, but since then, it's been crickets. However, it's possible that one of the teams with whom he visited -- the San Francisco 49ers -- could end up signing him at some point in the future.

"We had a great visit with Charles when he was here," Niners GM Trent Baalke confirmed, via 49ers.com. "We feel he can still play the game. That's something we'll continue to look at."

However, the GM also indicated that the focus right now is on the draft. The Niners have 13 picks and Baalke didn't rule out taking 13 players; nevertheless, the rumors continue that the Niners may move around a bit. With no glaring needs, the Niners can target a player they believe will be a difference-maker right out of the gates as a rookie, and use their draft capital to get in position to acquire him.

After the draft is over -- and based partially upon who is added -- San Francisco can re-visit the idea of signing Woodson.
