I'm really glad to see some participation in the golf forum. I guess Toby knew what he was doing all along!

Don't be. I'm sure its not the first time you've been made to look like a fool.

It's 100 vs 1.
You are wrong and funny thing is you keep on going and it is making you look more ignorant.
Woods broke the spirit of the rule; there is no getting around it.
No he didn't. If he hit it in the fairway or light rough where the fact it would be found was obvious you'd have a point. But he hit it in waist high heather where balls are often lost or misidentified, so you don't. How many times have you seen a player searching for his ball in that sort of junk and find a few other balls but not his own ? If your answer is never you don't watch much golf.
I am positive, I'd bet my life on it, that Woods was using his "provisional" as a practice shot. He therefore broke the spirit, as well as the intent of the rule. Woods' ball was surrounded by people 5 seconds after it landed. No way he thought it was lost.
Well you've already admitted your extreme bias which limits your ability to think clearly about it. If I hit 1 into waist high junk, I'm hitting a provisional regardless of how many people, who have no idea what I'm playing, think they've found my ball. There's nothing worse than that walk of shame back to the tee.
Just got done playing... I hit one a little left off of the 11th tee & since there is fescue over there and the landing spot is blind, I hit a provisional. The guys that I was playing with all said they were sure it was fine but I said I just wanted to be sure. They said no prob... What I didnt say is that I was doing was simply for the fact that I was going to post about it on a message board for strangers to read lol. Of course the ball was fine & I picked up my provisional.
No cheating.
No violation of the spirit of the rule.
And yes... I know what I'm doing. Shot 72.
I don't drive the ball well at all (comparatively speaking). I don't have the massive distance that is required to take on the big courses & if I did, I would probably be even more offline. The key to any round that I have is being able to get off of the tee. My course plays a wet 6800 yards right now.
I only hit 2 of 7 fairways on the front = a score of 39 (3 bogies)
I hit 5 of 6 fairways on the back = 33 (1 bogey, 3 birdies)
4/9 greens on the front = 39
5/9 greens on the back = 33 (a few fringes)
16 putts on the front
13 putts on the back
Honestly today was a strange round. Actually shanked a ball on the 1st hole. Spooked the fuck out of me.
wow!!!! tiger is 8 under par after 12 holes today so far
Fuck that asshole.
He is up by 9 and on his way to an easy win.
Let me guess, he cheated.
Congrats on hating The #1 ranked golfer. Let me guess you hate Lebron too, bc he is the best.
Fuck that asshole.
What exactly did he do to you to make you feel this way?
Being a complete asshole. Thinking he's above the rules and better than everyone else because he can play golf.
