It's just not for me. I have enough trouble watching mens games (NCAA or NBA) for which I don't have a rooting interest.

There should be a gender salary cap. The men bring in a ton of money and are the best in the world so they get paid. the women bring an inferior product so they don't get paid as much. You don't get paid based on your gender; you get paid on the basis of your value to the business you are in.

Agreed. But truth be told, I think the arrest came pre-invasion. But one could argue tensions predated invasion.

Yep, pre invasion but Russia had been building up the troops for quite some time. Do we know the exact date of the arrest? The first I heard of it was the first week of March and suppossedly she had already been in jail for a bit.

Not 100% sure. The timeline was she was arrested 3 weeks prior to the release of the story.

I'd add that Russia likely knew they were getting ready to invade Ukraine at the time this happened.

Unless all of the money is going to the US, it doesn't really matter. The US Men don't even manage to qualify most years and don't tend to stick around for very long when they do.

The US Women's team, on the other, seems toqualify every year and tends to make it to the finals most years.
