Yeah, I enjoy the men’s game more. I’ve just accepted the fact that USA soccer blows.

There was a USA match on a month or so ago at my favorite Mexican restaurant.


Owner asked me if I wanted him to change the sound over from the Mexico game. I didn’t, I was watching the Mexico game too.


Not sure I could name a man or woman on Team USA right now.

I am not a soccer fan at all. I watch World Cup and that is about it.

So I prefer to watch my team do well.

And the women’s field has gotten better. There are probably 10-15 teams capable of competing with the top squads.

Don’t even know when the last women’s game I saw was.


But it was Dream Teamesque beatdowns they were handing out. That is good to hear that the sport has started to level out like basketball did.


Back when I lived in Kalamazoo there was a local woman, Lindsey Tarpley on the National Team. Probably haven’t seen a game since then tbh.

She was busted before the hostilities in Ukraine became a problem. Sh arrived in Moscow on an international flight, to a country where cannabis is totally illegal. She was carrying a hash pipe, and the official story was that it had hash residue in it.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. In the US, being gay and black and a woman and a sports figure is kind of a get out of jail free card. That's not so in Russia. Did she expect to get away with it?

Actually, in soccer, since about 2015, the women's soccer team has brought in roughly the same amount of revenue as the men, if not slightly more.

Per game or total? The women last a LOT longer in those tournaments.

Their argument was also that the mens te should give them a piece of their World Cup money, Which is laughable

No, but I was stationed in Spain in 1987 when Kasparov defeated Karpov in the World Chess Championships there and I attended two of the matches with my grandfather who was a Grand Master. May sound boring, but it was fascinating. I was astonished at all the the and hype that surrounds these events.

Our men’s team sucks and our Women win everything.

I would hands down prefer to watch the Women’s soccer team over the men’s.

Watch the men’s too, but usually don’t get to see the US team play a lot in that because they either don’t qualify, or get knocked out early.
