Unless all of the money is going to the US, it doesn't really matter. The US Men don't even manage to qualify most years and don't tend to stick around for very long when they do.

The US Women's team, on the other, seems toqualify every year and tends to make it to the finals most years.
I thought there were automatic payouts for the soccer federations of the teams that qualified?

She was busted before the hostilities in Ukraine became a problem. Sh arrived in Moscow on an international flight, to a country where cannabis is totally illegal. She was carrying a hash pipe, and the official story was that it had hash residue in it.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. In the US, being gay and black and a woman and a sports figure is kind of a get out of jail free card. That's not so in Russia. Did she expect to get away with it?
Hash pipe?

She take a time machine to Russia?

This leaves no argument as to why the men are paid more than the women

""The 2015 Women's World Cup reportedly earned $73m (£57m) in revenues, including $17m (£13m) in television commercials in the United States - but these figures are nothing compared to the $6b (£4b) of revenue that the 2018 Men's World Cup earned in Russia."

The women's game earned 73 million and the men's tournament earned 6 BILLION

No idea. I don't really follow soccer. I just pay attention to the Women's team when they're in the World Cup.

But, since the US Men don't always qualify for the World Cup and the Women's team always does...then there would be times when the men received no World Cup money while the women did.

lol

This isn't about how much each event makes...it's about how much the US Men's and Wiomen's teams make. If the men didn't make the World Cup that year, they wouldn't have gotten any of that money.

No. You are confused. Its about the inequality between genders in any sport and why those inequalities are justified. There are men and women in other countries than the U.S. as well.

They should just let them play for it

Let me know how that goes

I believe they still get a part of it, but not the same as qualifiers

Either way, the women claiming they should get a price of that money is a laughable argument

Actually, I'm not. It has nothing to do with other countries. It has to do with the US. If the women's team generates as much or more revenue than the mens, which according to what I have seen, they have been doing since 2015...then they should be making as much or more than the men.

In basketball, the NBA and the men's national team make significantly more than the WNBA and the women's national team, which is why many WNBA players also play overseas.

What other athletes in other countries make doesn't matter. What matters is how much revenue each team generates and how much of it their players get.

A piece of the men's money? No.

But if their revenues are equal to or greater than those generated by the men, they should be paid the same or more than the men.

Depends on how you watch the game.

If someone is watching a women's game and expecting the same athleticism as a men's game, they will be disappointed.

The fundamentals in the women's game tend to be better because they can't use crazy athleticism to make up for it.
Obligatory Norm McDonald (RIP) joke (from SNL news)

"Today the WNBA announced some changes to their game to make it more appealing. First, they moved the 3 point line closer by 6 inches. Second, they expanded the rosters from 12 to 15 players. And third they replaced all the women with guys..."

(audience groans, smattering of boos)

"Oh you didn't like that one? Well what if I told you it was written by a woman?"

(audience laughs)

"Nah I'm just kidding, we don't hire women here"

(big laugh)

Hard to believe since the Men's World Cupo brings in more money than any other sporting event in the world.

In the US?

Our men’s team sucks and our Women win everything.

I would hands down prefer to watch the Women’s soccer team over the men’s.

And they were

The problem was the year of the mens World Cup

That’s why they lost at trial

It’s also silly to claim this on a cba deal

It’s no different than wnba players suing the nba

They chose and negotiated this deal

Definitely. Gender inequality in sports is the topic here though and I'm proving why it is justified. You made my point for me in the bolded above.
