Trent Richardson, RB - Bama

With the 23-25th pick in the the 2012 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select David DeCastro, G - Stanford

Id like Vontez but he will be gone top 15. I feel the raiders will finish 6 - 10, so the 8th pick is probably somewhat realistic.

yea, Richardson won't slip that far, I think in the first round, we replace free agents at lb/cb, unless however, we find new free agents to replace those free agents. The Bengals never think about depth at certain positions.

correction, Richardson won't slip to us, but that is considering we don't get the 8th/9th pick.

Thomas Howard is going to get a nice raise. He's on a 2 year deal, I believe.

Manny Lawson could get an extention as well. He's been solid, if not unspectacular. I would re-up on him as well. Rey is also looking at an extention in the near future.

The team needs a CB to replace Clements, who is on a 2 year deal. As well as Safety help. Mays is being prepped more for the end of this year/next year, I think. The 9ers never really worked with him at all on how to fix all the mistakes he had in his game and that was a huge reason his stay in S.F. was so bad.

Guys along the DL are going to need to be replaced or re-signed as well. Fenene is on a 1 year deal, and I think Geathers contract is up either this year or next...so Dunlap can move into the starting role at DE, but a back-up guy to keep the rotation fresh will be needed.

Michael Johnson will need an extention either this year or next, as well.

Needs, in order

1) interior OL, our guards and center suck ( Livings especially is horrid )
2) RB
3) S
4) Another cover corner
5) #2 wideout

That's a large list of needs for a team tied for the best record in the AFC, but it is what it is.....

Cook just signed an extention. He's going nowhere.

Richardson and DeCastro would be an ideal 1st round. I think that the it's either/or though. If the Raiders keep losing we got a shot at Richardson. However I dont think DeCastro will be on the board when the 1B pick comes up. Honestly, if we get DeCastro or RIchardson with 1A I'll be happy. Gimme one of those guys + J.Jenkins CB and the first round is a huge win (thanks, Carson).,

Say we are able to get the 10th pick from the Raiders.

Would we be willing to trade up to grab Richardson, and how far would we have to go?

You have to think, 3 QB's are going top 10 (Luck, Landry, Moore). There has to be a LT or two, along with a DE or DT. I think Richardson could be had at around 6-10.

I wouldnt trade up...I'd just stay put and take either DeCastro (arguably the best lineman in the draft who just happens to play LG...a HUGE need) or take a CB (the kid from LSU maybe...Clayborne?). I wouldnt trade up in the first...

That being said I WOULD absoultely trade up in the 2nd to jump up to the top of the round to snag LaMarr Miller or Chris Polk.

I don't know. I just feel Richardson will be a hell of a star in the NFL. He is not going to be like a guy runnign for 200 yards in a game, but he will be a consistant workhorse that can get you about 1400 - 1500 yards a season.

He is a stud...but if they get DeCastro that will help the running game. I guess it depends on what was needed to move up to grab Richardson. Miller is talented too. Polk is just a friggin beast for UW. Behind a good line all those guys will be productive. let's just hope that the Raiders keep dropping those games and Richardson falls right into our laps without having to make a move...

Again I know LSU has the best D in the country but Richardson wasn't great. He didn't get them in the end zone or anything. I don't see him as head and shoulders above Miller. I absolutely wouldn't trade up for him.

He's a perfect AFCN back. I typically am not a big 1st rd running back guy but if Ricahrdson is there I'd pounce. I like Miller and Polk alot and wouldnt be opposed to trading up in the 2nd to get those guys (or taking them in the late 20's if they continue winning).

I'd prefer a big time OG and Miller or a big time CB and Miller than Richardson and a 2nd tier CB or OG.

The way I see it there's only one elite OG prospect and that's DeCastro. If the Bengals want him I think they have to take him early. He's the guy that I want with the 1A pick unless Richardson is there. If they went DeCastro and Miller I wouldnt bitch. Really any scenario where they get DeCastro or Richardson with the 1A pick will set them up for a kick ass first couple rounds.

Every mock I have seen has them taking Polk in the second, a CB (either Kirkpatrick or Jenkins) in the first along with that LB'er from ND.

Richardson had several big plays against LSU BTW. It's not like he had 20 yards rushing. The LSU D locked down when it counted, but that's a salute to the LSU D, not a knock on Richardson. Great player.
