OMG I will be pissed if they do this

The Athletic's Michael Lombardi reports the Washington Football Team could "unload all their picks" to move up in the NFL Draft and select North Dakota State's Trey Lance.

"I think they love Lance. I don't think, I know Washington loves Lance," Lombardi said on a recent GM Shuffle Pod. "I think they're willing to go get him." The Football Team trading away a bunch of picks to move into Atlanta's No. 4 draft spot would upend the entire draft, changing plans for most teams outside the top five or six selections. Lance in Washington would hardly be ideal for Terry McLaurin, as the Football Team would most likely operate a run-heavy offense centered on Lance and Antonio Gibson. Even if he gets the Week 1 gig, Ryan Fitzpatrick could once again be usurped by a rookie if Washington lands Lance.

Bringing in a strong armed Lance would not mean a "run heavy" offense. Where do they get this sh*t from? You have Tmac, Samuel, Thomas, Humphries and a slew of receivers and likely drafting another with Fitz starting, regardless of whether you draft Lance or not who should sit and learn for 1 year. We are throwing the ball all over the yard this fall with Fitz.

to go up to 1800 from 875 would
Mean trading the Falcons our #1, #2, both #3’s, and probably a second or third round pick next year.

That’s a LOT of picks to give up for qhat I believe is one year of good quarterbacking from lance, yes?

I don't believe it. The cost would be too great. Plus why would Atl move to 19? They should get offers from teams in the top 12.

Word is Rivera said he's gonna let the draft unfold and "see what's in front of us." What I took from that is the Skins not moving to four, but if Lance is there around seven, eight, or nine, they might do something.

Kevin Sheehan said this morning he called his Skins source and in the past he would usually get a response of "not true or way off."

He said he has called several times in regards to this Lance story and is getting no response. Radio silence. Sheehan said this was a first which makes him believe there is something to this.

I still dont believe it. What incentive does Atl have to move to 19?

Yeah, in my post that's pretty much what I was saying. If we move up it won't be with Atlanta. If Lance falls to 8, 9, or 10, then maybe the Skins get on the phone.

Hey guys......stop straining your necks.

Atlanta has said that the minimum that it would take is three (3) first round picks, a second round in 2021 and no less than than a third in 2022.

UNLESS, big unless starting players were also offered.

Right now, only two teams have inquired according to NFLrumors: Chicago and Denver.

You have understand who the competition would be and what have to offer and where their teams are presently sitting. Chicago might be a mac Jones or Trey lance away from being a serious playoff threat. The Broncos are a QB away from being a serious AFCCG threat. Denver is sitting at #9.

#9, a second and a third and 2022 first and fourth???

The Skins entire draft in 2021 and 2022 isn't nearly as competitive. How would the WFT fill other existing holes is they gave up everything. Doesn't make sense. For them, trade up to #15 with the Patriots and get Kellen Mond, Davis Mills or KJ Costello and build for the future with Fitz as the teacher.

I heard something similar, skins may make a move between 7 and 10 if their guy is still on board. I'm hoping Denver trades up.

I have talked to a former nfl scout (client) and he brought up do to covid it would be hard to fully evaluated talent this year with out combines some high profile players going up against 2nd and 3rd string players do to covid he thinks most scouts are not looking at 2020 tapes . In his opinion he says the best move would be picking up 2022 draft picks and there will be alot missing in the late rounds because lack of evolution do to covid players going up against weeker talents tought i share this .. he did say skins should trade up because this years draft is unceartin in the late rounds hard to evaluate pick up a couple of studs and be.done

So you give up the future to get Fields or Lance?? Can you guarantee that either of them will be as good as Watson, Jackson or Brees?
I always think of 1998 and how the media, certainly not the social media (Wasn't any), and the Experts went back and fiorth on who the Colts should draft. Leaf or Manning, Manning or leaf? The month leading up to the draft was a nightmare. The Colt took Manning.

And what about Ryan Leaf?? the number two pick was one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

Move forward to 1999...............................................Sixth Round, pick #199...................Tom Brady.

The draft is a crapshoot. No one can say for sure if any one of these guys can play in the NFL. I'd just as soon take a chance in Round 5 on Dustin Crum of Kent State.

Probably have to get in front of them for sure unless Dever goes up to 4 and takes Fields.
