Too many morons who never heard of Tavon Austin/Stedman Bailey LOVED Geno Smith due to a couple games last September.

I think Geno Smith can do better. The Jets should not turn to Sanchez, let Smith take his lumps. of course, if he was taking his lumps here, we'd be reading the bleeding heart bullshit all over this bright orange monstrosity.

Jets play calling last night is what cost them a "chance" to win that game. Their OL was really beating on the DL of the Pats, and they had several good runs. Then, the rains came, and they asked a rookie QB to go out there and throw, throw, throw...Only down 3, they started playing like they were down 14-17 points.

The Jets also have no explosion at receiver or running back. If AJ Green played for the Jets, I guarantee Geno would look better.

Who wouldn't right?

Or, AJ Green would have caused Geno Smith to have two more INT's if he was able to get the ball near AJ Green. LOL

I don't know...AJ makes Dalton look good, but I don't think it is all AJ that makes Dalton. Any QB that has a Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, Larry Fitzgerald are going to look pretty decent. But it can't just be one player that makes a QB. There has been no QB worth a damn in Arizona forever even though Fitzgerald is there, and they had Boldin with Fitgerald at one point also. A great WR means nothing if the QB is not good enough to lead an offense and spread the ball around to give that WR some chances.

Moral of this story.......Geno Smith sucks donkey balls.

If Sanu improves (... or the Bengals acquire a REAL #2) and the team gets a REAL #3 wide receiver (.. or Sanu as #3 wr) instead of Jones/Tate/Hawkins.... Dalton will be TOP 8.

With Eifert... Gresham can continue to be his unpredictable, undependable, occasionally dangerous ass and not kill the team.

Last season PFF had Dalton ranked as the 25th best QB among all QB's that took at least 25% of the snaps.

Just looking at last week and the "tremendous" game he had, he came in as the 12th best QB.

Yeah... dwarf Hawkins, Jones, and NFL TE dropped passes leader Gresham were terrific in 2012.

Yeah... I'm glad the receivers didn't drop any balls, fumble, or cause any interceptions in Chicago.

LOL!!!

Dalton was 21st in the league in "yard in the air" on dropped passes at 221 yards. So excluding yards after catch, Dalton lost 221 yards due to dropped passes. Stafford led the league with 547 yards.

Andy was also 29th in the league in % of yards in the air at 53.4%. So 46.6% of his yards came after the catch. So it's not as if he didn't have any help, whether you credit that to the scheme or the receivers. Sanchez led the league with only 34.8% of his yards coming after the catch.

Oh.... yeah.... that undrafted 5'7" #2 Andrew Hawkins and 5th round superstar Marvin Jones were world class.

The separation they got in 2012 was phenomenal.

I love these guys who pretend Andrew Hawkins, Marvin Jones, and Tate are competent #2s or #3s.

I prefer Sanu at the #2 spot. His possession style is better suited opposite of AJ.

I like Hawkins in the slot, that is where he does his damage.

I don't know what to make of Jones, but I would have him in the slot and hope for mismatches on the inside seam with his speed against a lesser CB, LB, or safety 1-1. I would be lining him up in the slot opposite side of Green.

We could always draft a WR #1 pick next year. If you add a #1 draft pick at WR to compliment AJ Green (say a Jordan Matthews - from Vanderbilt) on the side and use Sanu as your slot, you have a deadly offense with:

Andy Dalton
Gio Bernard
AJ Green
Jordan Matthews
Mohammed Sanu
Jermain Gresham
Tyler Eifert

That would be a ridiculous offense. You have to almost go single back almost all the time though unless it is short to go or GL.

In 2 TE sets, you go with Gresham and Eifert while Sanu sits and Bernard is in the backfield.

You can go single TE, and move Sanu into the slot with Bernard in the backfield.

You go 5 wide with no RB, and you have all 3 WR's and the 2 TE's on the field, or you can start off with a Gio in the backfield and then having him go in motions to be a WR while one of the other WR's or TE's sit.

There would just be so much flexibility with that personnel, and you can run just fine out of that, because defenses are having to play nickle coverages, and you still have two TE's who can block. A TE can still go in motion and be used as a FB if needed in certain situations.

DEADLY!

If Whitworth remains healthy all year, and Collins becomes a top backup at T, we can afford to do this. Then in the draft, after that WR in the 1st, we can afford to go with LB and CB (to replace an aging CB - Newman more than likely, hopefully Kirkpatrick can become that #1 corner we drafted this year). If not we still have Jones to help Leon next year.

I believe Jones would be best in a Steelers or Ravens uniform. That's the best way he could help us.

He would probably turn to gold at that point!! Nothing we ever do seems to pan out real well.

Best way to turn shit into gold, leave the Bengals! haha

I still love my team though.
