I choose to respect my opponent, especially when they have earn it ... relax and don't be so easily offended. Would it make you feel better if I said; I respect Washington as well?
No, neither have earned much this season.

Palmed.

Impressive to say the least.

One would expect that as the season wears on teams will find ways, via film, to exploit some weaknesses.

As far as their opponents' other notable contests, USF only scored 10 points on GT but Central Mich. put 45 points on Akron.

As far as Michigans slants so far, they put up 40 on MTSU (116th in total defense to date) but were held by Army (40th in total defense standings to date) to 24 points.

I'll be watching! GEAUX WHISKY BURROWING MAMMALS!

On the other end of the scale, six different teams - including Wisconsin - are at the top of the various offensive stats:

Total offense, Oklahoma 10.46 yards per play, 22 TDs, 676.7 yards per game. Utah St. is next, at 7.91 ypp, 12 TDs & 656.5 ypg.

Scoring offense, Baylor at 59.5 points per game. Oklahoma is next at 55.7 ppg.

Third down conversions, Wisconsin leads at 17 of 26 (.654). Baylor is second, at 14 of 22 (.636).

First downs, UCF leads with 89. Louisiana-Lafayette follows with 87.

Passing offense, Washington St. is chugging along at 10.27 yards per attempt, 13.22 yards per completion, 14 TDs, 476.0 yards per game. LSU follows at 11.79 ypa, 14.54 ypc, 11 TDs, 436.3 ypg.

Rushing offense, Navy averages 5.67 yards per carry, 10 TDs, 371.5 yards per game. Air Force is next at 6.04 ypc, 9 TDs, and 353.5 ypg.

Baylor has a yards-per-carry rate of 8.37. UL-Lafayette leads in rushing TDs among the Top 10 running teams with 14.

Oklahoma has the highest yards-per-completion among top passing teams with 17.62.

Don’t forget Michigan!!!!

We lead all offenses with 8 fumbles and are also #1 in the country with 5 fumbles lost.

Also, we lead this category with only playing 2 games, while almost everyone else has played 3. Our offense has been such a disaster:gaah:

Michigan’s offense has been a train wreck thru 2 games. Between penalties, turnovers and missed blocking assignments — it is a miracle we are 2-0.

UM was without their starting LT and RT the first two weeks (RT is out for the year). So hopefully getting our 1st team all-B1G LT back will help, as well as give the new RT some time to work on his issues the last two weeks.

If UM plays like they did week 1 and 2 with all the mistakes — they aren’t beating Wiscy.

Also, in Michigan's defense regarding Army.......Army OWNS time of possession against EVERY TEAM they face.

I expect a very tight game. Jimmy knows this year is his final window opening.

I don’t care who your playing, that’s pretty impressive.
Michigan State and TCU are giving up, on average, 0.9 yards per rush attempt. Wisconsin is giving up 1.3 ypa.

The Badgers are #1 in at least six defensive categories:

Total defense, 107.5 yards & zero TDs allowed. Next best team is TCU at 209.5 ypg & 2 TDs.

Scoring defense, 0.0 points per game. Arizona St. is next at 7.0 ppg.

3rd down percentage, allowed 4 conversions on 28 attempts (.143%). Kansas St. follows at 5 of 31 (.161%).

First downs allowed, 12. TCU has allowed 17.

Passing yards allowed, 3.05 yards per attempt, 6.96 yards per catch, 0 TDs, 87 yards per game. Missouri is next at 3.83 ypa, 8.70 ypc, 1 TD, 95.7 ypg.

Rushing defense, 0.93 yards per carry, 0 TDs, 20.5 yards per game. Michigan St. follows at 0.90 ypc, 1 TD, and 23.5 ypg.

Georgia, Maryland, Iowa & Alabama have also yet to give up a rushing TD. Baylor hasn't given up a passing TD.
How is .93 yards per carry ahead of .90 ypc?

My guess is that after they play a real team tomorrow they will no longer have the top defense.

I thought they were playing Michigan tomorrow?

I know, right?

But let's wait & see what happens when they play someone that has a defense.
That's going to be awhile . Only 1 team on their schedule is top 25 in total defense ( A&M ) and LSU doesn't play them til the last week of the season

Regardless of success, for LSU to be "attempting" to throw it...other than 3rd and long...is a huge shock!

I’m not insulting anyone (other than you for saying dumb shit). Just pointing out you don’t need to respect them, at all, until they do the same thing to your always overhyped team this week.

Also, facepalmed.

To be fair, we didn't get to play Cal.

That is not very nice and coming from a team named after the menstrual cycle, you would think you would be a little more polite.

Have you met many menstruating women?

Yes, and I would not want to tell them I named a football team after their menstrual cycle and had an elephant as the mascot. Don't be too offended, here in Detroit we have a hockey team called the Red Wings!!!
