]actually, this is the first time I've been wrong in 4 years . I can live with a 3-1 record for now LOL[/I]

Let's recount...RW is sub par, we wont be able to stop Moreno, Denver can stop Lynch and the passing game, Denver is so experienced and Seattle has too much youth and will crumble, Denver's offense will be unstoppable, hang on with me on this. I know there are lots more incorrect assumptions on your part, i'm just going off memory...

I'm pretty sure this is more than ONE.:laugh3:

I don't know about the rest, but he got the bold right.

Lynch ran for just 39 yards and 18 completions for 200 and 1 TD was a pretty good job considering Denver's offense didn't get off the bus.

And, reminder, there was a Seahawk fan here that predicted Lynch would rush for 150. I'm willing to be you didn't tell him he was wrong. :suds:

Easy there singling out a fellow 12th man,you wanna talk predictions? many of us knew it was in the bag i even said two TD's or more and if you watch the sound FX on the game Lynch asked Carroll if he can score more and Carroll said sure but the turnovers happened to fast and Seattle did not want to run up the score more.

No, they got off the bus, Seattle's defense just made it looked like they didn't. Wilson did more than enough in that game.

And Lynch had a great game too, he was responsible for the same amount of TDs as the entire Denver offense.

On a night when you only punt once, I'm not sure you can say his offense was shut down. They only scored 27 points on offense, but it wasn't because they struggled to move the ball. It was more just that they kept getting short fields to work with.

You love to point out that Lynch was held to short yards, but what about the overall rushing yards? They had a net of 135 total rushing yards. Why did Lynch have so few? You will recall we ALL told you he doesn't normally get that many yards in the first half. Most of his yards come in the second half when the other defense starts to wear down and he didn't even play in the 4th quarter and didn't get many carries in the 3rd because of the giant lead they had. They didn't have to run down the clock so they could run what the defense was giving them.

The 27 points scored by the offense was more points than most of you thought the entire team would have for the whole game. They started of kind of slow like they normally do and had 2 early FG's and the rest of the game they were kind of lights out. I'm not sure how you can say they were shut down in both running and passing. They only had one punt the whole game. That's not an offense that was shut down.

You just obsess too much over things. You WANT for those stats to mean they were terrible, or at least average on offense to prove the points you asserted before that game.

both Phillip Rivers and Tom Brady are better QB's than Russell Wilson.
If Denver's defense can handle them, they can handle Russell.
Denver's defense is about as good as Seattle's offense. It's the truth you don't want to face.
Like I said, I hope your team is just as delusional about Denver as you seem to be.

I can find you more if you like, but the truth is you were entirely wrong about that game and how it would go down and didn't once admit it. Never once read anything you said congratulating our fans or the team for the win nor saying you were wrong on any of the garbage you spewed going into it and now want to make up stuff to try and keep some of that nonsense still valid. The problem is the facts are getting in your way.

Wilson didn't take a single sack, the offense gave up no turnovers, Wilson completed 11 in a row at one point in the second half, he completed passes to 8 different targets, and he finished with a 123.1 passer rating.

In what universe is that an example of Denver "shutting down Seattle's passing game"?

Right, the universe of people who need to spin it that way to prove they were right before the game in their endless streams of rhetoric.

He was specifically talking about a post that had a hype video for the Seahawks on it. I'm fairly sure that no one outside of a Seahawks fan cares about a team hype vid for our guys. Hell, I didn't watch it and don't generally watch hype vids as it is. Just not my thing. Still, a Steelers fan told him it didn't belong and this guy says it was one of our fans telling their own not to put it there. Then he calls us a hypocrite for making posts about Seattle related things. I know I created one for our parade, but I won't apologize for doing so. I'm sure some fan not of the Seahawks probably found it interesting to see a city pop its major championship cherry and see how they celebrated it. Besides, if you can't put Seahawk things up on the general board after the season is dead and you just won the SB, then when can you? The champs aught to have their day in the sun. Or maybe in this case at least the rest of the week before people start whining.

It was started by Doublejive(Seattle fan).........Criticized by:
cWood(pack fan)
Tacoma Canuck(Seattle fan)
STBR 279Seattle fan)

With other comments from two SeaHawk fans............There was really nothing to warrant the situation of that video. It was not vulgar, downgrading or distasteful by any ,eans. The guy was happy his team was going to the SB.
Now how is that any different than posting pics of the same team?

http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/...board-general-discussion/136594-seahawks.html

Now if you want that kind of stuff kept to just the Seahawk Board, keep it all there then...........Hypocrits.

You think Denver throttled our passing game?
I the context of that conversation, r29j said Lynch would be stopped and RW was sub par and will not be effective. I told him if they sell out to stop Lynch, RW will beat them with his feet and arm.
You look only at completions and yards.
I looked at the game and it was similar to how we usually win a game.
NO Saints sold out to stop Lynch in our 1st game last year. I think we were up by 23 before they had their 1st score. Eerily similar to the SB.
Most have forgotten about the 150 yard prediction but it has scarred you in some way.
Shall we dredge up all the predictions of a Seattle loss in this game too?:lame:

I was NOT entirely wrong about that game.

Again, I was right about Lynch - which you pointed out yourself. You like to paint in large, wide strokes and over blow your statements.

Denver's defense handled Wilson pretty well and Lynch went no where, fast.

This game was more about your defense than any other single factor - and we both know it. Russell Wilson did not 'go off' on the Denver defense as one of your fellow Seahawks predicted, nor did Lynch rush for 150 yards.

Here's something I'll bet you didn't know...

You had over 100 yards in penalties.

Go look it up.

That will eventually catch up to you.

And no, I haven't congratulated you. Probably has something to do with you and your fellow fans calling me a bitch and REFUSING to believe that I might be right about anything I was saying - which I was, by the way. Lynch got nowhere near 150 and Wilson didn't 'go off' on Denver's defense.

You couldn't even entertain the mere thought that Lynch wouldn't hit 100 or that Wilson wasn't going to have this miraculous day against Denver. That's that part that really gets me. You could, in no way shape or form, listen to an opposing view without calling that person a bitch, or a troll. Your definition of troll is someone that disagrees with you. You were high on the kool aid and anyone that wasn't was just a 'hater'.

I've told you before I have nothing against the Seahawks themselves, it's just that some of their fans are arrogant - as witnessed by the fact that merely disagreeing with you guys lead to instant rage on your collective parts. No one was allowed to see the propaganda being produced as anything but factual. There was no room for an intelligent argument from an opposing side.

Yes, you guys were THAT bad.

When you learn to win with grace, I'll congratulate you but as long as some of you behave like insufferable, arrogant asses, I wont.

Maybe you should take your own advice?

I do, when we win.

I don't brag endlessly about what we're going to do to an opponent and how we're going to do it. I'm also willing to listen to arguments from the other side - you weren't.

Any disagreement at all meant the other side was called a 'troll' or 'hater'.

JUST for diagreeing?

Let's look back at an example, shall we?

Wedgie said that Lynch was going to rush for 150.

Another poster (I forget whom) said, "Based upon what"? It was an honest question. Wedgie's response?

"Based on beast mode, mother fuckers"!!!

Wow.

After that I said, "Lynch will not get 150 yards rushing". Simple. No bragging, no trash talking - just stating an opinion.

The responses to this were incendiary and you guys flatly refused to listen.

You personally said that Wilson was going to 'go off' (again, YOUR words) on Denver's defense. I said he wouldn't. Again, you refused to listen. Let me know if I'm wrong here but wasn't it you that want to fight with other fans? Didn't you once say, "Finally, someone that's going to fight back"? Apologies if that wasn't you but I know it was a Seahawk fan. That much I remember.

That's what those of us from a non-biased point of view were up against.

I understand being confident of a win - I get that - but when you predict Lynch is going to put up astronomical numbers or that Wilson was going to carve up Denver's D...you've got to at least be willing to entertain a logical argument from the other side.

You weren't.

And that is where fault lies.

Get over it. I predicted the Hawks would hold that great offense to 16 points, and was criticized. But nobody that criticized me then is going on and on about the "arrogance" of that prediction.

First off, you have trolled us mercilessly during the weeks prior to this year's SB because of what happened in SB XL, a game your team WON, so you have not followed your own advice at all and have been begging for any and all hate that has come your way.

Wilson DID go off on the Denver defense, he was unstoppable. The reason the yards were not higher was because the defense was so suffocating, they had short fields to work with all night. Denver only stopped the Hawks once and forced a punt, which was really more about a holding penalty than their dumpster fire of a defense. The other "stops" were at the half and when they were trying to run out the clock with the second string in the 4th quarter.

As far as "fighting," that might have been the wrong word there, but I just was really hoping someone would grow a pair and stand up for the Broncos team and support them, but all we got was a bunch of pussy Denver fans which was not interesting at all. I guess they really didn't have any faith in their team either?

You what's funny? Last week, when Seattle fans were questioning Denver's lack of points in the playoffs, the counter was all about "Well, they've sustained drives and not punted, so this proves that their offense is actually more effective than it was in the regular season". Now Seattle does the same thing and it was not impressive at all.

Other posters brought up SB XL, not me. Thank you.

Wilson did NOT go off on Denver. 18/25. Not exactly blazing the air. He only threw 25 times and completed only 18 of them. Hell, his very first pass he missed a WIDE OPEN receiver.

You were spoiling for a fight. You wanted to trash talk. Not everyone is interested in that - and in general - it's frowned upon by the mods..and for good reason.

I tried intelligent debate. When Wedgie bragged about Lynch rushing for 150, I simply said he wouldn't. No trash talking. No trolling. I stated he wouldn't and why. Denver was going to put 8 men in the box to keep that from happening.

That alone was enough to cause some of you to go into a frenzy. How dare I not agree with you.

Hell, one of you even said that Lynch was the best RB in the NFL.

Really? Better than that Adrian Peterson guy in Minn?

According to your fellow Seahawk fan - yes, he is.

And again, disagreeing was NOT allowed by other fans. We all had to be high on the Kool aid you guys were drinking. It wasn't propaganda - it was FACTS!

We weren't allowed to have an open mind or an opposing view at any time. If we did we were just 'haters' or 'trolls'.

If that's what you want, stay on the Seahawks board - we wont disturb you. If you're in the general NFL forum, then what you say is fair game for intelligent debate.

You know who wants to keep bringing up a failed prediction about Lynch's yards?

Someone that picked Denver to win that doesn't want to talk about being wrong with their own prediction by 5 TDs.
