we have only had 2 heritage classics since this all began which is what 5 years now? or 4? we dont get it everyyear and it seems to be bettmans choice when.

There arent enough Canadian teams to keep that exciting. It would be cool to cross the borders but have the Winter Classic always be on American ice but able to host Canadian teams, and have the Heritage Classic always on Canadian ice but able to host American teams. My .02

Exactly. I think it is dumb that the Heritage is only Canadian teams and the Winter Classic is only American teams. They should keep them in their respective countries, and always make the home team from the respective countries, but welcome the visitor from the opposing country as well. It is just dumb the way they have it now.

Yes, we all know that BOS/MON is a special rivalry. Don't be so insecure about it. Nobody is trying to take that away and you don't have to denounce all other "rivalries" as not being real just b/c they don't have as much history as the one your team is involved in.

Yeah, I wish when DC hosts they would play the game on the Reflecting Pool. They could put a barrier in the middle the pool and build a real ice sheet there. Put up stands on each side and have General Admission areas with big screens all over the Mall. Imagine it - people crowded all over the Mall. Shots of the Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, and the Monument in the background. It would be a SMASH ratings draw.
