That article was disappointing because it didn't say, but it seems like to me that there was one - I agree that it won't ever happen with a team under 500, but a lot of people thought Portland was going to beat the Lakers in 2002 because they had such a good run at the end of the season - Same thing with the Lakers - If they go 20 out of 23 from now to the end, I might become a believer - but I am skeptical big time - Can't say it will never happen - even though it is like winning the lottery and going home with a few million dollars - lol, or like a man actually telling his wife what to do when it's usually the other way aroundAnd how many titles?

No, there hasn't been one. Lowest seed to win a title was the Rockets as a 6 seed and that was a wild outlier. That article was disappointing because it didn't say, but it seems like to me that there was one - I agree that it won't ever happen with a team under 500, but a lot of people thought Portland was going to beat the Lakers in 2002 because they had such a good run at the end of the season - Same thing with the Lakers - If they go 20 out of 23 from now to the end, I might become a believer - but I am skeptical big time - Can't say it will never happen - even though it is like winning the lottery and going home with a few million dollars - lol, or like a man actually telling his wife what to do when it's usually the other way around

I agree for the most part - but mathematically it can happen - For some or many in here - they hang on to the delusion that will be their team based on the 000.10 percent chance - Reminds of some asswipes back in 2001 when the Lakers were really good - some of them were suggesting that the Lakers were so good, they could win all 82 games - They got pissed as hell when I told them it would never happen - not in our life timeNo, there hasn't been one. And since they aren't going 20-3 you don't have to be a 'believer', No team is going 20-3 to end the season.

70% of them are won by 1 seeds. And the lowest record to win a title was 44-38. Lakers aren't winning a title this year, and neither are the Warriors. The NBA format doesn't allow for upsets, 4 series of 7 games each, the best teams win.
I guess so, has any team with a different schedule won with less than 44 wins? You mean with the current 82 game schedule right?
'Mathematically' doesn't mean shit. Mathematically you can go 82-0 as you mention, so why even say there's a chance? There isn't. Lakers will not be winning the title this year.I agree for the most part - but mathematically it can happen - For some or many in here - they hang on to the delusion that will be their team based on the 000.10 percent chance - Reminds of some asswipes back in 2001 when the Lakers were really good - some of them were suggesting that the Lakers were so good, they could win all 82 games - They got pissed as hell when I told them it would never happen - not in our life time
Like I said before - I agree for the most part - but there can be a first time for some things- The reason it won't happen is because every team plays a high quality game part of the time, but are inconsistent -I told friend last year when the Lakers went -10, that the Lakers wasn't winning shit - he wanted to know why--um 2 and 10 - hello!!!!'Mathematically' doesn't mean shit. Doesn't matter if you agree for the most part or if you agree 100% or if you don't agree at all. The Lakers aren't winning the title this year. Like you said, Pelinka knows this too. Neither are my Warriors.Like I said before - I agree for the most part - but there can be a first time for some things- The reason it won't happen is because every team plays a high quality game part of the time, but are inconsistent -I told friend last year when the Lakers went -10, that the Lakers wasn't winning shit - he wanted to know why--um 2 and 10 - hello!!!!
To win a championship - you have to start out the best, there is still that small chance. Rob Pelinka already said that the trades were intended to get ready for next season - that was a fairly decent admission that this year is lost and I think he knew that back in October
Personally - I don't think any of the teams look unbeatable - but I really do not want the Lakers to win because I don't think they deserve it - when you play like shit the entire year - you shouldn't be rewardedDoesn't matter if you agree for the most part or if you agree 100% or if you don't agree at all. If you play like shit all year then get hot in the playoffs of course you 'deserve it' and if the Lakers did it you'd be ecstatic. Looked it up, yes back in the 50s a couple teams won with less but they only played 72 or 68 or even 66 games total so their under 44 wins were better winning %s than 44-38

Exactly. So today if you win less than 44 games you ain't winning the title. And if you're less than the 3 seed you ain't either.First gotta say didn't notice the 44-38 winning % part. That changes things. Was talking about the '52 Minneapolis Lakers who went 40-26. But their winning % that season was .606.

Don't blame me - I just found the list - I thought there was a few that made it close - and truthfully - the fact that they made it to the finals - proves they could have won - It only takes a few shots going in instead of missing to change it. That is why I believe that it is possible for an 8th seeded team to win even though the chances are extremely littleWhoever made this list is out of their mind not to put the Knicks at number 1.
They made the Finals!
As fun as that Nuggets win was, if we are ranking the best “runs” by an 8 seed, the answer is the team that went the furthest.
