I keep hearing from you people how this guy is a great coach and he's turned Mrs. State into a contender, yadayadayada.........Mullen does not have 1 significant victory over anybody and really hasn't done anything better than what Croom did. I remember Mullen's first year at Mrs State and they won 9 games. Their 9 victories were against teams with a combined losing record, we then saw how overrated and shitty Mrs. State was last year when they finally faced teams with a pulse. Then, Okie jr's god awful defense holds Mrs State to 3 whole points. I'm just glad Okie jr ended the Mrs State hype in week 1.

Not at all. It could have been UCLA or Nebraska that ended Mrs. State's hype so early in the season. Just glad somebody exposed Mrs. State this early, rather than watching the Bulldogs start out 7-0 against nobodies, receive an overrated ranking in the top 15, only to see Mrs. State get slapped around once they played teams with a pulse. Croom wasn't so bad. He was hamstrung by probation as soon as he took the job. I mean seriously, he has to recruit to Starkville, AND be on probation?

If the best you can say about a place is you can be someplace better in two hours then it sucks too. Having lived in two places in Mississippi I feel slightly more qualified to say that Northern and Central Mississippi suck(outside of Oxford and Jackson) I enjoyed my time in Southern Mississippi. Southern Miss should be an infinitely easier place to recruit to than the appropriately named Starkville.
