LOL.... Sorry to pull the band aide off the wound and dump salt on it.
Seriously I can't fathom anywhere where they got that call right awarding the Eagles the ball.
Yeah it was bad, I get over stuff like that pretty quickly though, Eagles were clearly the better team.

Only call that took me longer to get over than that was the Fail Mary, maybe I’ll get over it tomorrow :D

It's really upsetting they never won a playoff game as "Washington Football Team." It would've been even better if it was a Super Bowl.

That should've been cemented in history forever.
That would have been awesome. Same note, I would root for Utah Hockey Club to win the Stanley cup but that is a Bettman wet dream and can't condone anything positive for the worst commissioner in all of the major sports.

OH yeah. Calls happen every game but when something like that occurs at the onset you know that set the tone of it throughout and it showed.
It would have been a miracle if the Packers did win as the Eagles defense is very good. Have to give props the Packers defense held their own against the Eagles offense and all the turnovers.

:finger:

Always the Skins to me :lalala:

Agreed. The Washington Redskins won a playoff game in 2025, not the Commanwhos...

I just love that Snyder gave a giant middle finger to the NFL and their woke bullshit those years with "Washington Football Team." And the fact a bunch of woke/PC dorks got even more pissed when he did that was glorious. Even South Park commended it. Winning an SBOWL with that name would've been even more hilarious.

Yes that was the highlight of the game for me, proud of our D in that game absolutely

Funny my sons tease me all the time as I call them the Redskins and they are like "WHO?"
ya, I imagine the younger generations would. Was fun to see how quickly older media and talking heads began rolling out Redskin references in the past year without apologizing for the "slip"

I as well as most people thought the fact they had to change their name was stupid.

I always reflected on it knowing Packers should be safe, if there’s ever talk of renaming us “Green Bay Gentle Placers” I don’t want to live in this world anymore. :heh:

Been arguing with my Packers friend for years, and we'll never agree on it.

I know I'm a Hawks fan but I routinely say when Seattle got lucky with a call. The fail Mary was more a failure on fans/announcers not understanding how the rules work and the general failure of the refs in general that season... Let's ignore the obvious offensive pass interference by Tate on that play (let's also ignore the obvious NON-DPI against Kam Chancellor that allowed the Packers to score their only TD which caused this whole fiasco to happen in the first place), but on the play itself...

It was absolutely MIND blowing to me that so many to this day, STILL claim that it was an interception when he CAUGHT the ball in the air. It is NOT a catch until you get BOTH feet down and CLEARLY control the ball as the SOLE possessor (in the event it's a tie, the receiver gets the ball, not the defender). This has been the rule for DECADES. This is not new. Even if you come down with it, the ball can't be bobbling or wiggling or moving, remember Calvin Johnson's reverted TD?

You have to have BOTH feet down. And by the time BOTH Jennings' feet came down (actually one came down out of bounds) Tate CLEARLY had a grip on the ball - so much that Jennings could not pull it away from him. Nevermind that while Jennings was in the air Tate actually got his hands ON THE BALL (not on Jennings) and had both feet down as shown here.

Whatever, it's something as a Seahawks fan I can never argue successfully because... well it was the Seahawks that profited. So everyone will just say, "You're just saying it was correct because you're a Seahawks fan." despite me saying all the time "Seattle got a freebie on that one" just like the fumble return TD against the Giants this year (we ended up losing anyway lol). But it blows my mind how many people got this wrong.

Fact of the matter is... Green Bay was hugely popular (Seattle was not), it was primetime, everyone was fed up with the refs, one ref signaled TD and one INT (lol), and it just all culminated in the pot finally boiling over. End of day however, it was the CORRECT CALL. And I would say the exact same thing had it been the other way around.

Wanna talk about unfairness and the WRONG call? How about when Vinny Testarverde was short on 4th and goal and moved it forward under the pile and they ruled it a TD... and that kept Seattle from the playoffs... and was the ENTIRE reason the instant replay was invented. Least GB still won the division. Oh but nobody talks about that because Seattle... lol. Give me a break. Fail Mary... more like Fail Fanbase/Announcers.

Damn “Fuck you McFly, you’re wrong” would’ve sufficed. :D

We’ve talked about this before because I remember you talking about how your Packers friend and yourself go at it and for what it’s worth I don’t think you’re biased as a Seahawks fan and it probably was ruled correctly.

It’s just how it made me feel overall that stuck with me, and I haven’t forgotten the feeling of it.

I mostly brought it up as a joke and as I mentioned earlier, the more we focus on bad calls or missed calls it will continue to sour the overall fun of the game.

For a team many experts predicted to have a bottom 3 roster and to get a top 3 pick Denver fans will take a 10-7 record with their first playoff game in 9 years.
Yeah you should be more than satisfied. And you should be looking forward to many years of playoffs.

I'm sitting pretty smug because I can't even begin to count the number of talking heads who picked the Bills to miss the playoffs because they weren't going to have Diggs and Davis. They tied an NFL record of TD passes caught by 13 different players. LOL

That’s why talking heads are named as such.

Not having Diggs on your team is a blessing, he’s never been on my team but especially now he only serves as a distraction and locker room problem.

That outweighs his talent for me and even that is fading, when you have Allen you can work with anyone as evidenced by the record you mentioned.

Just saw something on ESPN.

Daniels has 6 comeback wins after trailing in the 4th quarter this season. That is the most by any starting rookie QB since the start of the 1950 season. Regular season or playoffs.

Impressive.

I don't show it on my page but the Hawkeyes have been my favorite college team since back in the days of Hayden Fry.
