I chimed in early on the draft. But my thoughts on taking a stud QB early(Manziel) were not well received and probably not realistic. We have many options. But we need a strong O-line first. My opinion everything hinges on that. Keeping our QB upright and healthy should be the number 1 priority. Then our secondary must ,should be addressed. The defense is our shining star for now and just needs to be tweaked. The receivers we have now are workable for the most part. BPA aside there is no need too take another receiver just because some have a mancrush going on. I keep repeating the QB issue will have to be addressed sooner or later. Shore up the O-line now. And hope for some gems in the later rounds.

i was hoping we could drop to 4 and still get Watkins but im getting the feeling we have to stay at 2 to get him.

I don't know Red. If some of the Mocks that have been appearing has Houston taking Barr number one overall, that could change things for us. If Barr goes first (which I doubt in light of Shaub being shopped around of late), then teams are going to be in more of a trade up mode knowing the Rams are selling.

Did you just call manziel a stud QB? He isn't worth signing as a UDFA. The GM who drafts him is firing himself.

If we drop to #6, Oakland might take Sammy.

Jax and Hou have to take QBs I would think, Cleveland too. But I won't be surprised if like last year, the OTs fly off the board and the QBs are sitting there waiting.

Sounds like a job for Cleveland!

I'm sure there were people saying the same thing about Brady and how did that turn out?

Look, the draft is a crap shoot. Everyone knows that. "Certain" studs become busts and low draft picks and UDFA's become studs.

Manziel can't throw a football. You cannot be a even moderately successful NFL QB without the ability to throw. It's not possible. Manziel does not have a 1 in a million chance to be a quality player.

But he's not a late round pick, somehow. He's almost certain to go top ten, and that GM is guaranteed to be out of a job in 3 years.

Mike Evans is good, but he doesn't have near the explosion of speed that Sammy W brings. I'm not sure how good Evans can be, but Sammy Watkins can be a top 5 WR in the next 2-3 years.

The real question is will Evans be able to get separation from NFL DBs?
THIS!

The Fisher/Snead MO in the draft and FA has been all about the speed.

That said, it does keep the door open for Clowney.

How many WRs that were drafted specifically for their size have succeeded in the NFL lately? I would rather target the talent over the physique (Watkins!).

Mike Evans isn't a stud just for his size. He is every bit as talented as Watkins and then some. The fact that he made Johnny Manziel look draftable is proof of that.

You're doing the exact opposite. You're taking a tiny edge in speed over the total package.

Tiny edge in speed? LMAO Dude you already said how much you hate College football and Johnny Football. So what the hell do you know? Sammy W has blazing speed. Mike Evans has 4.59 speed. Total package? LOL Megatron ran what 4.32? And Mike Evans had ALL kinds of time to get open in college BECAUSE Johnny football was running around like a chicken on crack. JF bought alot of time outside the pocket. I'll agree Johnny's arm needs improvement, but STFU with your nonsense and hate. Mike Evans will be pretty good opposite another #1 WR I will agree, but you really have no clue what you're talking about.

Move on. Go fight elsewhere. Nobody here wants your 2 cents.

Officially Evans ran a 4.53 and Watkins ran a 4.43. Different, but not massively so.
