I kind of liked the mid to late 80s NBA. Mostly low scoring and physical.

This is incorrect. The '80's had the best mix of physicality and finesse, but it was not "low scoring". I looked it up a few weeks ago and if memory serves, teams in the 80's only scored about 5ish fewer points that todays teams.

The 90's was very low scoring and was as much WWE as it was actual basketball. It was still entertaining, but it wasn't very good basketball.

just wondering... does gambling help or hurt the NBA... generally gambling helps all sports, as it gains viewers... but the NBA is tricky because during the regular season, we dont know whether or not the best players are going to play... and they get scratched at the last second...

basketball has always been the most frustrating for gambling... so, i do wonder if it gains the Gambling boost...

I have to agree with the WWE comparison .the officiating was not great.

Jacking up 3s is the sport to losers like you that can't work inside. No timing, no quickness, no peripheral vision, and a slow mind. That's tlance for ya.
"Yeah just jack up a 3"
"this is awesome"
"yay NBA"
I asked about 18-22 footers. Not much closer than 3s and only worth 2.

I get irrational people are scared of questions but try and answer (get a lifeline if needed). are those shots cool?
A) yes
B) no

I know there are more dunks now than ever before.

But I think there are more shots within 8 feet of the basket than ever before also.

Kind of debunks the myth no interior play.

They just don’t get there through the post because it is inefficient. They draw the bigs out away from the basket and drive and kick.

Requires a lot of skill and athleticism.

A) yes
B) no

Just answer A or B, sport.
Yes, in the flow of the offense. I already told you that. Pay attention.

It isn’t a good shot though.

Nobody is saying players should jack up contested 3s on ISO plays. That is bad basketball.

Move the ball, drive and kick, get an open 3

That is 1.5 times better than a shot from 20’

I kind of liked the mid to late 80s NBA. Mostly low scoring and physical. Players back then would occasionally get clotheslined as they were driving towards the hoop. I also liked It when the players and fans got into that big brawl back in the 90s. The game has kind of gone soft TBH.,

The 80s were not low scoring

So a shot from, say, 22 in the flow of the offense for 2 points is OK but one from 22 in the corner for 3 is not OK?

Ya gotta love this forum.
18-22?

Yeah? and I also asked about 22 in general and you said a shot from 22 in flow of O a good shot.

As long as not for an extra point in the corner, apparently.

Ya gotta love this forum.

me - "Is a shot from 22 a good shot"
you - "yes if in flow of offense"

and apparently not a 3 pointer. Look you made an absurd comment and got caught. Own it...or don't.
