I think some people have said to take away the corner 3 but I think plays into game style and strategy. Keep the corner 3 but then extend the 3 by a couple feet for the rest of the arc. Teams will still jack up 3’s but it wont be as bad

23’ 9” is the current arc. That will be stay constant for the corner 3 then arc it to about 26’ or 27’

Sorry but averaging over 50 threes a game is just nonsense. Shooting is absolutely a skill and big part of the game and that should NEVER be taken from this game. It has transformed the game but it has come to the point where it has taken over the game. Again, not saying it is easy at all, but I think there can absolutely be tweaks. I am against taking away the corner 3 right now but maybe over time I could be up for it.

Im with you

Over 100 3s is not good for the game.

Dont like killing corner 3 though.

LaMelo Ball was 3-18 from 3 yesterday in another loss for the Hornets. Do you think the head coach even said anything to him about it? It's ridiculous. I think he started 1-9 in the first half. I would have forbidden him from taking anymore threes and start looking for the open man. Jeezuz Christo!

No.

Because that would be horrible coaching to tell your best player to stop shooting.

Not to stop shooting but at some point someone needs to talk to him about shot selection. The problem is he has been doing it since high school without any repercussions. He can keep averaging 30 pts and chunking it up 25 times shooting 42% and 33% and he will continue to be on a losing team.

The last time I watched the Hornets, they had Glen Rice. Now HE was a shooter. He could beat 3-18 from halfcourt, I bet.

Shot selection for sure

That is not the same thing as telling your star to stop taking shots.

I kinda blame John Beilein too.

Every open shot was a good shot in his system even before Steph blew the lid off this style of play.

I also love John Beilein fwiw.
I hate him. He sucked for Cleveland lol

I’ve stricken that from my memory banks.

Agreed but players have to have a sense of when it’s just not going in.
