Well being entertained is relative. Unfortunately a lot of people will never know what it was like to see great centers go to work on a nightly basis.Sure, there's a lot more that can be said about the math of 2s vs 3s. But it's besides the point. The entertainment value of the sport.
100% with the last part"Load management" is the solution to the problem of the nba season being too long, and any individual regular season game being too pointless.
The nba becoming an obama-styled political tool under his corrupt and racist leadership definitely turned a lot of true basketball people off from the league.

The dumber your viewers are the more they'll buy from advertisers. So there is some synergy involved for sure and incentive to weaken your product to attract weaker people. This is what we fight against.Well being entertained is relative. Unfortunately a lot of people will never know what it was like to see great centers go to work on a nightly basis.
You couldn’t scroll up? LOL. Lakers v. Suns from last week:What game is this from?

NBA Cup sounds gay. Is that a real thing? You don’t know the rules of the nba cup clearly
You couldn’t scroll up? LOL. Lakers v. Suns from last week:
@bksballer89 @tlance Do you guys want to field this one? Why is a team that is up by 23 points in the 4th quarter chucking up 3’s and not working the shot clock at all? Is strategy completely obsolete from today’s game?

You got me. I didn’t even know there was an “NBA Cup”. And now that I do, I don’t know why it exists. But encouraging a point differential seems like a shitty idea and the Suns STILL don’t need to be in a hurry to chuck up 3’s in that scenario anyway. Very gimmicky. So the nba cup game where point differential is a tie breaker. It helps to know what’s going on before you criticize
Appreciate the explanation. This “NBA Cup” further cements my initial point that the NBA of today is unrecognizable to me.There can be a few different reasons. As @bksballer89 pointed out, if it's an NBA Cup game, point differential is part of the criteria for "seeding" and who gets in.
If the team has put their bench players in, they are trying to earn playing time and would be wanting to continue to run the offense, if the offense is a 3 heavy system, you're going to continue to get 3's shot.
If it's early in the 4th, they may continue to shoot them to put the game out reach quickly.
Dumbasses couldn't even figure out that there was no defense so 2s would have been easy. A made 2 cuts the differential more than a missed 3. But it's not about that. It's about lazy basketball. Lazy offense, lazy defense, and a game that matters to no one at that point. You got me. I didn’t even know there was an “NBA Cup”. And now that I do, I don’t know why it exists. Make an NBA cup thread. It'll be a hoot!
