Somebody mentions the Pacers in the finals and instantly a whole swarm of heat fans come to defend themselves.
I think he booked a ticket...big difference

Sure.. that would make sense as the implication is the Heat.. the 3 time defending Eastern Conference Champs will be dethroned.
What I find weird is all the Laker fans that show up to defend the Pacers. Not one Laker fan on this board thinks the Heat will beat the Pacers.. not one. Odd.
So wait, now you want Lakers fans to DEFEND the Heat...?
Its even funnier how Laker fans instantly run in and start bashing the heat in a thread that has nothing to do with the Lakers!
Its only natural that heat fans would have something to argue on this topic.
Who was it that mentioned the Lakers first?
It was actually a Laker fan. Post 10....suprise, suprise

If you can't detect sarcasm you really shouldn't be here.
The 2012 & 2013 Heat lost 7 games while the 98 Bulls lost 6 games (remember the first round was shorter back then) and the Heat win % in 2012 & 2013 was higher than the 98 Bulls in the playoffs. The 1992 Bulls went 15-7
The 2000 Lakers went 15-7 while the 2009 & 2010 Lakers had the same exact postseason record as the 2012 & 2013 Heat which was 16-7.
Basically the Bulls teams were more dominant than the Heat outside of the 98 Bulls but the Lakers were only dominant in 2 of their 5 titles. In their other 3 titles they either had a lower winning % or the same winning % in the playoffs as the 2012 & 2013 Heat
I'm confident that barring injury to either team, if they play each other even, the Pacers will beat Miami in six games. They're going to climb on Hibbert's shoulders and take the East.
it would be a nice change...
i just find it odd that the ENTIRE lake contingent.. not one thinks the Heat will win. and this has been going on for 3 years. Not one. You dont have to defend them or like them.. but for an entire fan base to consistently pick against the heat.. just odd.
That guy could be great, he plays like a bitch though. 12 and 8...he SHOULD be a monster!
He is not taking them anywhere until he mans up.
Sarcasm font. Most the bs you have been saying in this thread you were serious about....so sarcasm font
Well, if we're going to do comparisons:
The 2000-2002 Lakers won 3 straight titles and had a cumulative playoff record of 45-13
The 2010-2012 Heat lost in their 1st finals appearance, then won the next 2 and had a cumulative record of 46-21.
Clearly, the Heat fall pretty far short in that comparison.
A better comparison is the 2007-2009 Lakers and the 2010-2012 Heat as those records are virtually identical.
The Lakers went 46-22 lost their 1st finals appearance and won the next 2.
So they won the same number of titles, the same number of games and lost only 1 more game over that 3 year span than the Heat in their 3 year span,
Who was it that mentioned the Lakers first?
Well they can't win 2 in one year.
Y'all are criticizing them and yet you don't let them finish. Most likely they won't get 6 or 7 or even close. But if you win 3 in 4 years that doesn't happen very often. Lakers and Bulls in what the last 25 years.
