Self explanatory....
Vote and discuss.
Vote and discuss.
So vote.Kobe.
This shouldn't be a debate.
I always lean towards consistency. Lebron is an excellent defender when he wanted/needed to be. Kobe was on 100% all game.So vote.
I think it's equal. Both were excellent defensive players.
Is it?Easy lol
Silly poll
That's like using all nba's to compare players. Lebron should have one maybe two DPOY awards.12x all defensive teams vs 6x. Kobe wins.
This just goes back to peak performance vs longevity. Kobe was an elite defender for a much longer period of time than Lebron. At his peak, Lebron and Kobe were probably on an even par level defensively. The problem is that Lebron's peak lasted much shorter than Kobe's.That's like using all nba's to compare players. Like I said in the other thread, it's close either way. Is Kobe twice the defensive player than Lebron....hell no.
I like this argument a lot. When Kobe was on a bad team he upped his tenacity to prove a point. Nobody wanted to face bad team Kobe.I always lean towards consistency. Lebron is an excellent defender when he wanted/needed to be. Kobe was on 100% all game.
Exactly. Was lebron some great defender in his early Cavs days? His best moments came with miami and in the 2nd cleveland stintThis just goes back to peak performance vs longevity. So it's like saying was Gilbert Arenas a better player than Tim Hardaway? Gilbert had a 3 year stretch that far surpassed Hardaway's peak as a player. But Hardaway was consistent for much longer and a better player for a longer period of time.
I picked LeBron because he can switch on to all 5 positions. Kobe couldn’t handle a 5 or a power 4 backing him down the way LeBron can.
But, it's obviously Kobe? LOL.I picked LeBron because he can switch on to all 5 positions. Kobe couldn’t handle a 5 or a power 4 backing him down the way LeBron can.
LMAO.But also…give me the guy who isn’t dead. You could totally take Kobe off the dribble right now.
But, it's obviously Kobe? LOL.
I wasn’t talking about them. I was talking about LeBronThat's not how it works.
Ben Wallace and Dikembe couldn't handle guards on the perimeter as well as Lebron could either but both those guys are better defensive players than Kobe or Lebron.
