Voted tater salad.

But, for the discussion...

I'd say the Lakers or the Bulls.

With the Lakers he would provide a steady hand to spell Lebron from having to run the offense so much. As I said in another thread, Reaves and Schroder did pretty well and Lebron seemed to trust them, but they each also had some fairly costly mistakes that CP3 likely doesn't make.

For the Bulls, if Lonzo is able to come back, CP3 would make it so that he can kind of ease back into playing. If Lonzo can't make it back, he can be a bit of a "bridge" point guard while mentoring/leading a young team.

The problem for either team though, would obviously be his injury issues. The Lakers are going to be looking to get to the finals and he has a history of getting injured at the worst possible times.

For the Bulls, it would be hard to ease Lonzo back in or have CP3 teach a young team if he's in street clothes.

I would say the Heat, but they’ll end up with Lillard who will fit better. So, tater salad it is.

No guarantee Dame gets dealt. I could see Portland trading the #3 pick and players for Zion.

That might appease Dame.

Memphis doesn’t have a point guard for the first third on the season.

But the Lakers make sense.

Best fit? It's probably the Celtics. But he seems pretty set on playing for one of the LA teams so I don't think anything else matters.

Other. Given his proclivity to get hurt in the playoffs, his best fit is to lead a team just trying to make the playoffs, not a real contender. Chicago would be a fit, as would Memphis as he could keep them afloat for the first 25 games, then fade into a support role.

Of course, that's not what he's looking for. He'll want a contender.

Reports he is going to GSW for Poole plus picks.

I am not (and never really was) a Poole fan, so on the surface, this doesn’t really perturb me too much. But Poole, just a year ago, had a rep as a future star. Now, the Dubs are dumping his co tract for a vet who is never healthy in the playoffs.

A lot of mistake-corrections for the Warrior front office the last few years (Wiseman, this)…

Warriors aren't even one of the specific choices. C'mon, @DJ!

That Wiseman one really hurts. At least Poole was a late first round pick and he contributed to a championship. Using a number 2 overall pick on someone who didn't do anything for your team really stings.

It is hard to fault them for taking Wiseman, tbh. He was a relatively clear pick at #2 and he looked to fill a need for the Dubs. It was foreseeable, though, that he was horribly raw and the Warriors just didn’t have the floor-time available to develop a player like him.

For sure, I liked the pick. They had very good reasons to take the gamble but it was a gamble and it didn't pay off (for them). Almost all top level picks are gambles, the no doubters like LeBron or Wem or Hakeem or whoever are rare.

It's very possible Wiseman eventually becomes a good player but their idea in the end to win and develop didn't work.

So what is the latest on the trade?

KNBR is saying Baldwin is part of the trade, but I don’t see that anywhere else. I have seen elsewhere that Rollins was included. ESPN just has it as Poole, a future 2 and a protected 1 in ‘30 for CP.
