The only connection LeBron has w/ Ohio State is that he's from the state of Ohio. But does it really hurt to have the best basketball player on the planet on the sideline to possibly sway a top recruit to pick the Buckeyes over someone else?

Does not hurt at all. It is a fantastic recruiting tool. These HS kids are able to shoot the breeze with one of the best to ever play on the NBA.

I don't see why this is even a question.

Like I said, Oregon even used this. They also (same game) brought in Wade, Paul, Melo...

Exactly. And from everything I have heard over the years had LeBron not jumped straight to the NBA he once claimed he would have played a year @ Ohio State. LeBron on the sideline is okay w/ me since he is an Ohio guy.

If LeBron played football he would have been a beast Tight End.

Had they instituted the 1 and done rule when he was 18, rest assured he would have been a Buckeye for 1 year.

He made that statement on the Jon Stewart show many years back.

Laughing a Urban for bringing in Lebron is like laughing at J J Watt for driving a Ferrari.

That's a pretty terrible analogy.

More like Urban renting a tuxedo and saying it was his, for a BBQ to meet the new neighbors.

OSU in a close one at home.

Want to see Brewer for VT though, hoping he has a good game.

Based solely on strength of schedule so far (i.e., William and Mary cf. The U.S. Navy), I'm leaning toward tOSU.

Based solely on all time Recruiting, recent Recruiting, Current Coaches Accomplishments, Program Accomplishments, Recent success, Tradition, History, number of All Americans, and all around success,

I'm leaning towards Ohio State.

I realize that, I just thought it would be fun to throw in the others. :yahoo:

I would actually say 3 of those things play a part in this weeks game.

Based solely on the fact that Frank Beamer is undefeated in the state of Ohio, i'm leaning towards VT :D

Brewer did a great job of getting rid of the ball very quickly in our first game. He wasn't caught holding it in the pocket. If he can continue that, it will help neutralize tOSU's DL. I am concerned about our running game against that front though. I think for VT to win it, Brewer will have to avoid mistakes and we will need to win the turnover battle by +2.

What did yall think of Brewer, shitbrick? He has been very impressive so far in his short time here. He handles the media very well, is well spoken, and seems to be uber confident. He seems to be average physically, but very impressive between the ears.

Never got to see him play much due to injury... he was supposed to be a stud, but we had a freshman play well in his absence and win the job for this year

The few times I got to see him, he looked pretty sharp

Only assholes (joking) from ann arbor call the Buckeyes Ohio. I have never been to a Rose Bowl Game, would like to someday though. Ironically I do have one Rose Bowl game program...it just happens to be the RB from 2010.

Just got done watching the osu/vt game. I was bummed earlier, but now I feel that I can go on knowing what happened to osu and urban crier.
