If nothing else, Terry Stotts looks like an NBA coach. Like if you closed your eyes and imagined an NBA coach, you would picture someone like Terry Stotts and you would tell yourself, I trust that guy with all my heart. Kenny Atkinson does not have that trustworthy look. I know you guys are thanking me for my deep analysis, so you're welcome.

If Lakers want to go conservative, then choose Stotts. But if they want to go for more, then go Darvin Ham. He's young, so maybe he'll bring a fresher approach. He also coached under Budenholzer, so that makes him part of the Popovich coaching tree. Can't go wrong with that, right?

The more this drags out without a hire the more I’m thinking that the Lakers want Doc

The Big Three, as they are now known as are the finalists in the Lakers search but I see that some in the Lakers mess of a FO are still holding-out for the possibility of re-visiting Doc Rivers and Quinn Synder, "if they become available". Repeatedly, the Lakers have been told that neither Quinn or Rivers WILL BECOME AVAILABLE but someone of influence in the Lakers organization still thinks so.

I totally agree CL67. What would be THE most disastrous hiring for the Lakers HC vacancy would be that dude!

If any of this is true, paralysis and divisiveness leading to potential an escalation in in-fighting is what you get when you have one too many cooks in the kitchen. Looks as though the Lakers have gone down that avenue.

Stotts seems like the most likely to get the most out of Russ

And it does seem personnel was the defensive issue in Portland .

But this is a good list of guys imo.

It’s not Phil Jackson but these are all legit candidates
