What separates Saban from the rest is that he recruits well, and they are coached up on top of it. You can see it in the NFL and with what scouts say about Alabama players entering the draft.
It's not really an either/or type thing. You can say that he has a great staff and all that stuff and that's why they are so coached up etc, but it's not like other HC's are out there teaching every little detail. He loses assistants constantly and still maintains and it's because he coaches the coaches.
That’s the process I am talking about. He is on top of every detail. He clearly been able to integrate assistants into the staff and his process. That is his greatest strength. The actual game day stuff is secondary to that
