I strongly disagree with Briles being a 0. He's on the hot seat for ethics reasons. It's easy to overlook classiness when you go 11-1, but if they go 7-5, will that still be true? He could absolutely be fired.

(I see I've been scooped)

Makes sense with the Beckman reference. Some others I find iffy:

Malzahn-0: Chizik was ran out of town two years after a national title. Everyone expects big things this year, but what if it doesn't happen? If the team is trending downward, why would Malzahn be treated differently than Chizik? He is at least a 1, maybe a 2.

Deruyter-1: This program appears to be trending downward. Deruyter has a great offensive reputation but his predecessor was fired after 11 winning seasons in 13 years. If the defense doesn't improve, how could they validate keeping him around. He is probably a 3 at this point.

Wilson-3: Like Deruyter, another respected offensive coach whose defenses have been awful. The only reason he got another year was to give his DC a second year to implement his defense. If they stink again (and there are many reasons to think they will), he is gone. Should be a 5.

Miles-2: Uh, no. Even with a second straight disappointing year, there is a 0% chance they will fire a guy who is 56-24 in the SEC. Should be a 0.

Golden-3: It was shocking he wasn't fired last year. He needs a big year to save it, and nothing on his resume suggests he is capable of delivering. His resume looks eerily similar to Randy Shannon's at the time of his firing. Should be at least a 4.

Stoops-2: Again, just ludicrous. If Oklahoma even considers firing him, they deserve the shitshow that would come to that program.

Sarkisian-1: Even before the drunken episode, the guy has never had less than four losses. With the huge expectations for his team this year, what happens when they finish 8-5? He is easily a 2 and maybe a 3.

Jones-1: See Sarkisian. A guy with huge expectations and no reason to think he will meet them. Should be a 2-3.
