And where do you buy your drugs?

Just reading Bengal quotes about this has me feeling down..... They're talking about it like a playoff game and the sinking feeling associated with the Bengals in big games is definitely setting in.

Anyone drinking the kool-aid this week?

Id like their chances better had Denver not be coming off 2 straight embarrassments

On the bright side, Ossweiller is awful, and Dalton is out, so theres that

I'm thinking that it will be our normal primetime performance..... We'll likely be down 21-3 at half - At least 7 coming on either a pick-6 or a punt return for a touchdown. We'll mount a comeback, mostly fueled by Denver's inability to consistently move the football and we'll end up losing 24-17. The homers will talk about how close the game was and the pessimists will talk about our minuscule hopes of ever winning a playoff game with Marvin as HC.

Rinse, repeat.

Only scenario why Bengals win:

AJ goes out, plays very well, leads team to a big time, prime-time win, securing the #2 seed, and a bye, and when compared to the prim-time struggles of Dalton, and playoff impotence, creates a real dilemma about who starts in the playoff game.

Dalton then gets the nod, they lose the playoff game while the fan base chants even louder for AJM next year based on the 1 prime-time game he played, won, and did well.

This would be good for us though as Mike/Marvin would promptly trade AJ to a team that was willing to overpay for the guy that looked like a star in one game. We're sticking with Dalton, so they'll drop him like he's hot the minute he threatens Dalton's position as a leader on this team.

But otherwise, I did consider this angle..... If AJ beats Denver and then wins a home playoff game the city will go crazy.... Trash will be all over Dalton's front yard.

Trade a super cheap QB...Brown would never go for it. Look how much pulling it took to trade a QB who didn't even want to be here, and he wasn't even paying him since he was "retired".

I'm willing to bet that the players and coaches for the Bengals are a tad more optimistic than their fan base. Your defense is the real deal and will have a plan to shut down the Broncos running game and give Osweiler fits. Similarly, the Broncos defense will have the same plan in mind. Honestly, this is a pick 'em game with maybe a slight edge going to Denver due to home field. Should be a good one.

The game will be a shitfest after about 10 minutes. It really will. Trust me.

The years of misery without playoffs that preceded the years of misery in the playoffs did not help.

So we can draft a lineman who wont play for 3 years

Bright side: Both tackles drafted have played.

And again, Brown is not trading a cheap QB away.

I'm thinking safety. I bet they let Nelson walk.
That's probably a solid bet.

He's going to get overpaid after this season, and Iloka is also up for a contract. Considering he's younger and cheaper, my guess is they'll look to sign him over Nelson. Jones is also up for a contract extension. Hell, lots of guys are. Going to be a few players who will not return. Can't pay everyone.

I'm actually thinking Reggie might be crazy enough to stay. I think he likes it here.

Iloka is as good as gone, but I'm not sure I care too much. Other folks tell me he's good, but I'm not smart enough to know why. I think Sean Williams should get a full time chance rather than overpaying Iloka.

I think he would..... What's in it for him? Dalton has earned his contract and he's very durable. The thumb injury was a fluke thing. If AJ beats Denver, some team will offer a 2nd rounder for him.
