So if the Pats lost in the AFC Championship in 2007 and 2011, you would think Brady is a better QB?
Obviously 4 gold medals in the Olympics beats 5 gold and 2 silver

This will never die, lol. Hard to compare eras as the game has changed so much. It is very subjective, particularly comparing pre 1980s to today. Prior to the 1980s there was no 5 yard rule and DBs could make contact beyond 5 yards. Bill Walsh commented back in the day, that his 49er offense took advantage of the new rules. Those timing routes would not have worked well under the old rules. Montana was my favorite player of all time but I really don't care if he is ranked first or tenth. I got to watch him play and win four super bowls. The other stuff doesn't mean all that much
How's that flawed? Montana played in those games, and won championships after he had 3 one and dones. He didn't lose those games because he took more hits. It's not an analogy anyway, it's a flaw in logic. Being 4-0 is not better than being 5-2. Losing in the Conference Championship or divisional round is not better than losing in the Super Bowl.Like I said before, it's a very flawed analogy.
If Montana played in this era he wouldn't have taken the abuse he did, he likely wouldn't have injured his back which led to Young replacing him. He would have without doubt won another Super Bowl and likely 2 more if not for the injury.
Montana had 11 tds 0 ints in 4 SBs, Brady has 15 tds 5 ints in 7 SBs. Even this year Ryan had a 144 QB rating to Brady's 95 rating in The SB.
Brady is well below Bradshaw and Starr in championship game performances as well.

And would you say Matt Ryan had a better game?

And if you deduct Montana's 11-0 from his postseason total, he threw 34 TDs and 21 INTs in the playoffs. You don't win a Super Bowl by just playing in the Super Bowl, you win by putting together a great postseason run. Something Montana, like Brady, did multiple times in his career.4-0 with 11 tds 0 ints is indeed better than 5-2 with 15 tds 5 ints. Deduct Montana's 11-0 from Brady's total and you get 4 tds 5 ints, not so good.
So are you saying Matt Ryan had a better game than Tom Brady?Ryan had 2 tds 0 ints and a 144 rating, Brady 2 tds 1 ints and a 95 rating, that's not subjective.

I don't deny that Montana was great, but it is completely illogical to claim that 4 wins in 4 appearances is better than 5 wins in 7 appearances.

Even bigger is the more recent hands off QB rules. Montana, Bradshaw and Starr took far more punishment than Brady has.
Answer the question.I'm giving you objective data.
Who is the greatest quarterback of all time?
I tried to be fair and put in the poll everyone who's in the conversation from decades past to the present day, including some choices I thought were questionable.
Vote in the poll, and explain why!
Yes it is because not every team just goes right to the Super Bowl. Is Eli better than Elway? It's not illogical at all to say 100% is better than 71%.
