USC is 6-1 vrs Michigan in their last seven Rose Bowl meetings. I wouldn't trust them either if I was a Michigan fan.

Pac is losing their shine as a conference, it's most noticeable in cbb, as cbb games play at night more often and the time zone issue hurts them. It's taking longer for the cfb production to go down, imo, in part because most cfb games are playing on weekends, during the day, so the time zone difference isn't as big of an issue.

But things like growing homeless populations, piles of human shit on the sidewalks, and liberals taking control of the state governments of Cali, Oregon and Washington will also hurt the Pac when it comes to recruiting.

Bringing Utah in helped. But down the line, that might not be enough?

I don't think anyone is trying to say Dabo's 3rd year was better than Fleck's (or that Fleck's wasn't obviously better), but the odds of Minnesota becoming another Clemson is extremely unlikely given how much stronger the Big Ten is than the ACC.

LMFAO
Yeah, it’s only because the conference they play in.........

Well, I'd agree with that. Coaching is the #1 factor imo.

And playing against tough competition hasn't kept Bama or OSU down, so there is that.

I actually don’t disagree that coaching is the #1 factor.

I think talent factor is a very close second. Especially if you are intent on winning the NC. You NEED top end talent.

Can we stop acting like the B1GWest is some gauntlet. Iowa and Wisconsin have been the only consistently ranked teams in it. An it’s been very rare you play even 2 of OSU/PSU/UM in the same season let alone all 3.

2012 recruiting - Neb 32, Mn-59, Wi-65.
2013 recruiting - Mn-67, Ia-56.
2014 recruiting - Neb-35, Mn-57, Ia-58
2015 recruiting - Neb-30, Mn-63, Ia-59.

Skip ahead to

2018 recruiting - Neb-23, Mn-38, Ia-39
2019 recruiting - Neb-18, Wi-29, Ia-41
2020 recruiting - Neb-21, Wi-25, Ia-33, Mn-35

Notice anything? ALL 4 of those B1G West teams recruiting has improved.

Didn't look up NW or Illini or Purd. But NW had a good season in 2018, and brings back more of their 2019 production than any other team in the country according to one source.

Last years AP poll = B1G West = #10, #11, #15.

Just 2 in AP Top 20 in 2017.

Just 1 in AP Top 10(25) in 2016.

B1G as a whole had 4 in Top 25 in 2016, and FIVE in 2017 & 2018, and SIX in 2019.

So the West is getting better and making the B1G as a whole better.

Which makes sense seeing how all 4 of those West teams are recruiting better. Frost has only had 2 ssns so far. If he follows in Fleck's footsteps, 2020 should be Nebby's breakout year.

You have a short memory combined with you don't understand how the scheduling works.

Next several years, UMn will average 2 of the big 3 from the East on their schedule, more than they don't.

And with MSU having troubles, I predict the West will be the tougher Div for the next several years.

Having recruiting rankings in the 20’s and 30’s is not getting top talent. No one is saying their recruiting isn’t improving, but it’s still not getting top end talent. Try and stay on topic here.

The last time you’ve played 2 of those 3 was 5 years ago. The next you’ll play 2 of the 3 is 2023. That’s an 8 year gap.

So it’s you that has no clue how scheduling works. You are and continue to show how much of a blithering idiot you can be.

Hey @Across The Field any truth to his claim of the west being better next Year?

I'd flip flop 'em...but that is just me. Bill Snyder was an excellent coach but he wasn't going to win a four team playoff with the K-State talent he had. Might not need top 5 recruiting classes but needs to be in the top 15-20 IMHO.

Fair points.

All in all you need both to reach the pinnacle.
