And I agree Trae has a lot of that kind of game. Needs to cut out the Harden foul hunting (the rules are changing on that) and get more efficient though. Steph was better in year 3. But he was a 3 year player in college not one and done like Trae.

Steph went to small school in college and made a serious run in the tourney. Doesn’t get any better than that. Think he had 30 in a 2nd half of 1 NCAA tourney game. You could tell then he was something special. But everyone said he was small, not athletic, and the smaller school
was a concern. Like those idiots didn’t just watch him carve up the tourney with that sweet jumper.

Trae gots some game too. We will see. He’s no Steph but he’s a helluva quick point guard and with range like that in today’s game that’s a good thing.

Yeah, that was why I took issue with the Iverson comp somebody made earlier.

Trae is mini Steph. He isn’t as good, but that is the comp.

He plays nothing like Iverson. Nobody is comparing Steph to AI.

Biggest thing for Trae, IMO is shot selection. Steph was incredibly efficient as a young player, but he also didn’t take many super high difficulty 3s.

I wouldn’t even know who to comp AI to in the last 10-15 years. Probably Westbrook but he’s 5-6” taller. Plays with an edge, can light it up, goes to the rack hard and can shoot. Westbrook didn’t have the moves with the ball that AI did tho. And AI wasn’t scared of getting hammered in the paint

73% career isn't bad. Drops in the postseason though (too much dependence on him; Mavs need a solid 2nd option).
