Big difference between debating who is more deserving of All NBA 1st team between Dame and Luka, and who you would rather start a franchise with between Luka and those other 3 who aren’t on the same level and aren’t even younger.
You are right - I brought an apple to an Orange conversation. P.S. Luka can’t shoot free throws

I'm not going to get too much into who's better, but it's worth noting that Luka is the one guy on this list that's never won a playoff series...

Yep.

And that is a good reminder of why people shouldn’t get too caught up judging individual players based on team success.

Supporting cast matters a lot.

Why Booker didn't get into the playoffs until this year.

Luka, then Donovan, then a decent gap, then Booker followed by Trae

I definitely choose Luka, but in terms of upside it might be Trae.

Why Booker didn't get into the playoffs until this year.

Yes, for sure.

But not for the reason you think. You give way too much credit to CP3.

Ayton, and Bridges are among the most improved players in the entire league. Booker has matured too, and Crowder is an awesome glue guy.

This group would be an easy playoff team without CP3. There are a lot of reasons why the supporting cast is much better in 2021.

Why?

Trae is well below league average in terms of athleticism. He is a great player, no doubt, but his ultimate ceiling is probably Curry (that is still really high) and he will always be a bad defender.

Luka could easily end up being the best player on the planet. His size allows for a much greater chance he can be a plus defender too.

Of those 4? Luka for sure.

What's funny is Mitchell, Booker and Trae play more like Sexton's critics accuse Sexton of playing.

Isn't to say I don't think all 3 are exceptional talents. They are.

It honestly depends on how the coaching situation ended in Dallas for me. TBH, I do think Luka had a hand in the GM and HC changes and to me, that COULD, not necessarily 100%, but COULD mean a bit of a chip on Luka's shoulder and I would not want that diva attitude in my locker room if that is the case. So I have two answers:

If Luka isn't the diva that he MAY be, Luka is my choice.
If Luka is the diva that he MAY be, Devin Booker is my choice. I would say Trae, but he made it very clear in Game 2 that he can make HUGE mistakes all at once and cost his team the game. Booker has yet to do that, at least to the level Trae did.

Just saying I don’t think we have seen anywhere close to the best version of Trae that we will see. As I said I would take Luka, said it his rookie year.

Maybe.

I just think Luka is better now (as do you) and also has more room to grow than Trae does.
