They've played 8 quarters this year: Denver 48, SD 47. Over the past 6 quarters: SD 41, Denver 27.

Chargers biggest loss all year is by 8. Could happen, but according to Vegas betting on the Broncos means you think the Chargers will suffer their worst loss of the entire season.

I've never understood how winning 4 straight is "backing in". Starting 9-3 then losing 4 straight would've been backing in.

Chargers lost by 10 to the Raiders*

I know I am in the minority here.
but if you look at earlier in the season & all of that you would have evidence of me being wrong here.
but

I think you have to keep an eye on the Saints. Yeah the Seahawks crushed them earlier in the season & plenty of reasons to believe the Hawks will hand the Saints the loss. Seahawks should be the favorites.

However I believe the Saints are one of those teams that are capable of beating any team on any given sunday. I also think Payton is an excellent coach. Think he learns from the 1st match up. Seahawks had never lost at home & now they have. I remember when the packers were undefeated at home in the playoffs, then the mystic was gone. They didn't go back to never losing afterwards. Does this happen with Seattle now. Who knows, but other teams aren't thinking they are unbeatable at home anymore. Then look at the fact the Seahawks offense seems to be struggling more & more lately.

I find this game the most interesting, due to the unknown. (to me)
The Seahawks could blow out the Saints, or the Saints could blow out the Seahawks.
It could be a very close game for 60 minutes, or it could be one team jumps to a huge lead & the other team comes back (kinda like the Colts/KC game)
This is the game to me that to me anything can happen. So it is the one I most anticipate to watch.

Seriously believe this game could go in any direction for either team, with both teams being so capable.

I picked the Saints as my long shot for the superbowl.

Keep on sleeping on the Saints

Apologies but your record on the road isn't exactly stellar.

You won in Philly last weekend, but up next is Seattle and if you get past them - it's the winner of the 49er's and Carolina where you'll be on the road again.

So if it's all the same, I'll keep picking you to lose.

Well, for me, every match-up is intriguing. Unlike some of you, I don't see a blow-out in the mix.
The NFC.
The Niners @ Panthers looks to be very similar to the earlier match-up. Defense, defense and more defense. A 13-10 or 16-13 score either way wouldn't surprise me. I really hope these teams beat each other up because if not, the winner could very well be our next SB winner.

The Saints @ Hawks has everybody thinking blow-out. I think Seattle will win but I think it will be closer than it looks on paper. The Saints aren't as bad as the record would suggest on the road. Expect Payton to pull out all the tricks in the book and I think Sproles might have a good game. My Seahawks offense has been extremely inconsistent. They need to be better but the defense is what will be the deciding factor, imo.

The AFC.
The Colts @ Pats will be a great game, I think. As inconsistent as the Colts have been all year and everybody mentions it, what they have really done is play to the competition. Played awful against some of the lower echelon teams and played great against contenders. Luck can't afford the early TO's like last week but I think he's learned his lesson. Get the run game going early (even a couple of designed runs for Luck), keep Brady sitting and keep the game close and they could win this thing. I do think the Pats will probably pull this out in the end though. Just a hunch on my part.

I really don't understand how anybody thinks Denver will blow out the Chargers. I thought going into the final week that the worst case for the AFC was for the Chargers to get into the dance. The defense has been better down the stretch and the offense can score with anybody. Rivers gets played down by virtually everybody but the guy has shown that he can ball with anybody. He's done it in the past and really did it the last time these 2 met in Denver. I think the Broncos are still stinging from last years quick exit. Not because they lost but the way they did, giving up those huge plays that should never happen late in a game. They should have learned their lesson but this game is a toss-up for me so I am really excited to watch it.

Enjoy it guys, we haven't got too many more left. :suds:

wow, i would hate to have to pick just one as I'm going to enjoy all four but if someone told me I could only watch one ........... i'm guessing the 49ers vs. panthers will be the best-played so i would go with that one.

Right, forgot about that one. But the Broncos are favored by 10, so my point is still valid.

And if the Chargers play like they did in Oakland, they will lose by 75.

Niners-Panthers, although Peyton in the playoffs is always a must see.

Especially since we usually only get to see him play in only one a year

Well as a Pats fan I voted for the Pats Colts. I am really interested to see how our 100% healthy team with seasoned WR corps will do.

Lol!

My obvious choice as well. But I do intend to watch all four. Just will be a lot more relaxed about the other three. I am going to try to stay somewhat sober so I don't come in here and wish death, disease and 400 lbs. wifes on the Patriots and their fans if we get our asses kicked. Not promising, but I will try.....:noidea:

All of these match ups should be fun. We have two 1v6 games, the ultimate David versus Goliath game. Especially for N.O. - Sea because the Saints were pounded in their regular season visit to Seattle. And SD has been able to show they can exploit some of Denver's weaknesses so it'll be interesting to see if they can pull up another upset. 49ers and the Panthers may be an epic battle on Sunday too because they are damn near mirror images of each other. Only the Pats-Colts game leaves me wanted for more. The possibility of yet another Brady-Manning game, this time the winner going to the superbowl, is too awesome to root against though for me
