Purely based on watching an interesting matchup, which game are you looking forward to most?

49ers vs Panthers, two great defenses and two young QB's dueling it out. The first match-up was a tight game and this one should be too.

I just have a feeling the other 3 games might not be that interesting to watch.

Obviously as a Charger fan I'm amped about our game with the Broncos. Next to that, I see the 49ers and Panthers being one hell of a battle. I think New Orleans gets blown out in Seattle, and the Patriots take care of business with the Colts.

I think the most interesting matchup is Colts @ Patriots. I can't wait to see if Luck learned anything from last week. If they fall behind early to the Patriots, I just don't see Bellichick letting his foot off the pedal like KC did.

Went with the obvious homer pick. But even going with the prescribed criteria of basing one's choice on an "interesting matchup", I think that a strong case can be made for SD at Denver. For example, the two teams split their series, with SD having won at Denver a few weeks ago; SD has held Denver's record setting offense to two of its three lowest point totals of the season; SD seems to be gaining momentum in the press and among fans as this year's Cinderella team, coming off its road win at previously unbeaten at home Cincinnati; the whole PMFM "king of one-and-done" thing, despite having led his old team to one SB win and another SB appearance; Denver having earned HFA throughout the playoffs, just as it did last year before losing its first playoff game. Juxtapose all of that against Denver entering the game a 9.5 point favorite, the largest spread of any game this week, and that seems to me like a very compelling matchup to any NFL fan.

So hard to say which games will actually turn out to be particularly interesting, though I definitely agree that SF at Carolina figures to be a great game. For example, I never would have expected KC at Indy to turn out as interesting as it was before it started (or even as late as the middle of the third quarter), but I thought it turned out to be the most exciting game last week.

That definitely has the potential to be a great matchup. I agree that not falling behind is likely to be a key for Indy.

Well as a Pats fan I voted for the Pats Colts. I am really interested to see how our 100% healthy team with seasoned WR corps will do.

The game I think most interesting is 9ers and Cats

I think they'll all be decent games except for the Saints - Hawks game. I see another blowout in the making. The Saints just don't matchup well with Seattle. They aren't good enough to beat them unless Wilson has a horrible game and turns the ball over a lot. I don't see that happening. The other 3 games will be pretty close I think.

I agree. Seattle's DBs must be drooling over the possibilities!

Perhaps your are right about NO at Seattle. Personally, I thought that NO was the least likely team to win last week. I was very impressed by how well they ran the ball and how well they defended Philly. If they can do those things as well this week, then I think they have a decent shot.

I just think SD backed into the playoffs and then had the game last week handed to them by Dalton. DEN should blow them out.

IND is inconsistent, so it is hard to judge what team will show up, but I still think that game will be a blow out, I just don't know if it will be the Patriots winning big or the Colts winning big?

NO does not match up well with SEA and the result should be about the same as it was a month ago, but stranger things have happened in the NFL.

That leaves SF and CAR, which should be a hard fought battle. SF has the edge with more offensive weapons, but can Kaep get the ball to them? CAR has homefield and an advantageous start time.

Denver is the biggest favorite this week, but I would not bet on them to cover the spread. While I do think (hope?) that they will win, SD has played us very well this year, possessing the ball for about 38 minutes both games and holding us to two of our three lowest point totals of the season. If the Broncos don't run effectively and stop the SD run, then SD definitely has a chance to win.

Well, you know in order to avoid Hammerdown in auto-douche-o-rama mode you have to post in reference to the Pats as if you were viewing the team through his eyes.
